@SenSanders Hilarious. Yes, make the players pay equal to the guy who cleans the toilets—heck toilet cleaning should pay more—then we can cut ticket prices by 70 percent. Economic Justice!
@ocregister You can't use gross numbers. Calif is the most populus state by a lot. (24% more than Tex, 68% more than Fla) Unemployment is high. Jobs are from education and health care, aging population, & Medi-Cal expansion. Should be booming with the A.I. growth, but isn't.
@JohnWake From 1970 when conventional securitized mortgages became central to today, home ownership rates have stayed essentially the same and we have managed to make homes unaffordable for young people. Maybe its time to get the hell out of this business.
@RoKhanna This genius is posting on a website over an internet that made low cost mass communication possible and doesn't consider the fact that billions in "speculation" was required to build it and essentially every advancement which has lifted billions out of poverty.
@ShepardJd41503@RepRoKhanna I think the 200 billion is supposed to be on top of the existing 1.2 trillion, which is about $4000 per person. The alleged marginal additional cost for 270 million added is about $740 per person per year, which is pure bullshit.
@RepRoKhanna So the Socialists at Yale concluded Socialism is efficient. You see, when government is 40 percent of our economy it is wasteful, full of fraud and ineffective. Government hits its stride at 100 percent.
@JohnWake The abstract doesn't say deregulation of supply constraints won't work, but rather that they are too slow. Could have said the same thing 20 years ago. Start now. If you want lower housing prices more quickly, end gov't backed non-recourse loans and tax breaks.
@RogerSeverino_ I get it, she's an idiot, but someone explain to me why so many are trumpeting this as an important victory when it doesn't address the merits and doesn't stop a district court from enjoining the rules whenever they do become final.
@texasrunnerDFW If this kid is poor, I can't help but think there were a lot of cheaper options he could have considered. There are Fed grants and other aid. Many colleges have their own scholarships that are automatic based on need. There also needs to be accountability for crazy lending.
@Thedukeistheman@vonSinwar313@nypost You are a genuine idiot. Socialism eliminates all privately owned businesses, including businesses owned by employees. I'm done wasting my time.
@Thedukeistheman@vonSinwar313@nypost Why on earth would I oppose someone freely choosing to be part of a worker owned business? Whether that is a good decision is a different question.
@Thedukeistheman@vonSinwar313@nypost I have absolutely nothing against that. It is legal under a free market system and it exists. I would not myself join such a company unless it were a very small company and I knew all the owners well.
@Thedukeistheman@vonSinwar313@nypost There is nothing stopping worker ownership in the current system. It exists. It fails repeatedly but can work under certain conditions. Give it a go.
