INTERVENTION ON DELAYED PAYMENT OF NATIONAL AWARD SCHOLARSHIP FOR EDUCATION BURSARY AWARD (EBA) AND NIGERIAN SCHOLARSHIP AWARD (NSA)

We, the beneficiaries of the Federal Government Scholarship Scheme in Nigerian universities, Colleges of Education, Polytechnics wish to respectfully bring to your attention the continued delay in the payment of our 2024/2025 bursary awards.

It may interest you to know that these scholarship awards were given to us by the Federal Ministry of Education through an offer letter signed by the Federal Scholarship Board (FSB) dated 31st October 2024. We have since undergone several rigorous verification exercises, after which the Board informed us to await payment. To this day, disbursement has remained silent.

These funds are part of approved scholarship entitlements that students depend on for payment of tuition fees, purchase of textbooks and other academic materials, accommodation, and general welfare.

The prolonged delay has created serious hardship for students across various institutions in the country. Despite following due process and making necessary inquiries, there has been no clear timeline for payment or adequate communication regarding the situation.

We respectfully appeal to the relevant authorities to urgently look into this matter, provide transparent updates, and ensure the disbursement of these funds to the rightful beneficiaries.

This appeal is made in good faith by affected, law-abiding Nigerian students who are only requesting what has already been approved for their academic support and continuity.

We are grateful for your help and support in addressing this long-standing issue regarding the 2024/2025 bursary awards.
