The Walt Disney Company has shared that Disney Legend Richard M. Sherman has passed away at 95.

Last year, Disney shared a video of Sherman returning to Walt Disney’s office to play “Feed the Birds” for ‘Once Upon a Studio.’

This recording was done on a Friday afternoon, which was when he played the song for Walt Disney before he passed away.

NEWS: Lanny Smoot, Disney Research Fellow and Imagineering legend, has been inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame and is only the 2nd person from Disney to ever be inducted, the other being Walt Disney himself. Lanny currently holds 106 issued United States Patents (with more on the way) and, in celebration of being inducted, shared a first look at the “HoloTile,” which is an omnidirectional floor that automatically keeps its user on the floor. Multiple people can walk on the floor at the same time, and Lanny hopes it can be used in multiple ways in the future.
