It's not toxic to be a man, who loves Jesus, leads his family, & works hard.
It's toxic when men still think & act like boys not wanting to accept responsibility.
“When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, gave up childish ways (1 Cor. 13:11).”
“Our grief is not a sign of weakness, but of great love for someone who has been important to us. If there is something we need more than anything else during grief, it is a friend who stands with us, who doesn’t leave us. Jesus is that friend.” —@BillyGraham
"God has given each one of us a little 'chunk of eternity' called time. These golden moments of opportunity are doled out to us for our benefit and for God's glory." —Billy Graham
"The Ten Commandments are just as valid today as they were when God gave them. They reflect the moral character of God, and they also provide the foundation of right living with others." —Billy Graham
Pastor @WillyRice has won election to be the next President of the SBC!
Willy Rice ran on a courageous, convictional, and hopeful platform of bringing needed renewal to the SBC.
He didn’t ignore the issues—he took them head on and offered Baptist solutions to strengthen our doctrine and practice as a Convention.
He rejected woke ideologies and championed increased accountability. He gave a voice to the forgotten “Billy Baptists” who have increasingly felt the system ignores their churches, voices, and concerns. He called on Baptists to renew our evangelistic zeal and outreach to reach more of our nation and the world over the next 7 years.
His victory shows that there is real appetite in the SBC for uncompromising leadership that can both honestly address the problems facing the SBC and champion our gospel work.
At @BaptistLeaders, we enthusiastically supported Willy Rice’s candidacy and are grateful to the Lord for this outcome.
The best days of the SBC can be in front of us. Decline is a choice—and can be rejected.
Renewal is a choice as well.
Today, Southern Baptists chose renewal for the sake of the gospel of Christ and our Great Commission together.
