You are limiting and suspending people under “child safety” for simply being a member of a server that got nuked. No messages were sent, and nothing violated rules. Some of those servers are years old.
Your own policy allows this. Your AI keeps false-flagging. Support stays silent all the time, and appeals get ignored by AI and canned replies.
You already admitted in July that your AI moderation wrongfully banned thousands of people over harmless images. You’re doing the same thing again.
Stop collateral-banning people who did nothing. Start actually reviewing these cases.
Man... really disheartened right now. We just got a copyright strike from VSPO all of a sudden when we've been supporting their talents for years. No email, no DM, a strike right away.
We've always praised and supported their talents, and we always promote and link their channels in our streams and videos. We've had so many people comment to say they discovered VSPO through our content so I'd like to think we were helping to spread the word about them, at least a little.
When we emailed to ask if there's anything we could do to remove the strike (like sign up to their clipping license program, which we weren't even sure covered reactions) they said the reason they can't help us is because we have monetised links in our About page. We offered to delete the videos and never upload VSPO content again but they said they still wouldn't remove the strike.
We just wanted to share our love for VSPO like we do for so many other VTubers (indie and corpo both) but it looks like we won't be able to do that anymore.
I just don't understand why a simple email of "Hey, please don't upload reactions to our talents if you're monetised" couldn't be sent instead of going straight for a legal takedown :/
We've been fortunate enough to support so many VTubers - big, small, indie, corpo and everything in between over the last 6 years so to get a strike from a company we loved watching hurts man I can't lie.
I guess this is a heads up to any reaction channels that have VSPO content and are monetised.
In the midst of the piracy discourse, I think this is actually a great reason to explain why Japanese people are so anti-piracy.
Cygames is bearing the brunt of this and refunding everyone's hotels and plane tickets. An American company would never. That's the difference.
