Charleston Co's jump in early primary ballots in the #sc01 GOP primary did not hold today. 5,400 fewer ballots were cast (in total) this year than 2022. The similarity of voter preferences in CHS across ballot types was a return to 2020 trends.

Election Day turnout in #sc01 lagged 2022. Did it matter?
In Berkeley, Mace's share of Election Day primary ballots increased 16% from 2022. 1 precinct left to tally.
In 2022, Mace had 45% of Election Day votes in Dorchester. Now she has 60% (3 prec. to count).

The heavy ads for #sc01 had varying effects by county compared to 2022. Early voting in Beaufort dropped (so did Mace's % of the early votes). Charleston Co's early vote (in district) DOUBLED (Mace's % slipped). Early vote in Berkeley was similar (Mace's % grew).
