Georgia completes the DH sweep over Clemson with a 8-3 victory in the nightcap after taking the first one 8-1. Georgia pitchers had 11 Ks with no walks in the finale, and slugged three homers. In the 18 innings, Junior Lauaki had two homers and Mikey Bell had five hits.
Very impressive inning by Nottingham. Takes him just nine pitches. Five fastballs, all 96 mph. Gets his lone strikeout on a beautiful slow curve. Georgia 5-1 B7
Mikey Bell and Junior Lauaki just went back to back for Georgia, both opposite field. It's Lauaki's second homer of the day. The Oregon transfer should make a run at the national homer lead this spring. Dawgs lead 5-0 after 3.
Georgia takes an early 3-0 lead over Clemson as catcher Hayden Blair blasted a no-doubt, 3-run shot into the trees on Kudzu Hill. Blair, a Walters State CC transfer, hit 26 homers last season and is competing with Hunter Carns behind the plate. Those are big shoes to fill as departed catcher Daniel Jackson won the Golden Spikes Award last year
Georgia takes game one over Clemson 8-1. Junior Lauaki and Matthew Farner each homered for Georgia on a day where Foley Field is playing pretty big. Only 11 combined hits between the clubs today. The teams will play another nine innings shortly.
Georgia's Junior Lauaki came up last inning with runners on base and watched a meatball 3-1 FB before eventually walking. This inning, he came up and hit the first pitch home run distance foul, then hit the second pitch well over the trees in left for a long three-run homer. He's going to do that a lot this spring as he finds the pitch selection balance. UGA leads Clemson 6-1 after 6
Georgia has taken the lead here in Athens on a solo homer from 2B Matthew Farner and RBI singles from SS Casey McCoy and C Hunter Carns. Dogs lead Clemson 3-1 after 5 innings in the first of two nine-inning exhibitions
Clemson has a bit of make-shift lineup together in game one without several projected starters. Shortstop Tyler Lichtenberger has two of the Tigers' three hits. Clemson leads 1-0 after 3, scoring a run on a wild pitch in the second after loading the bases without a hit
Marcos Paz got the start on the hill for Georgia and popped 98 on a couple of heaters (sat 96-98). The LSU transfer finished with a backwards K on an 82 MPH curve. Danny Nelson started for Clemson and worked a hitless frame popping 90-95 with his fastball and ended with his own backwards K.
Thinking back on today's Georgia Tech-Alabama exhibition. The Yellow Jackets will once again feature an offense people fear and will again contend for ACC title. Ryan Zuckerman had a monster day at the plate has the look of someone who could hit 25+ homers. Jackson Blakely impressed in his 2-inning start and could emerge as an ace. Loved how Matthew Heiberger pitched in his start for the Tide. He and Myles Upchurch should step into the Fay/Adams role atop the Tide rotation. Liked Alabama's position group, which looks more talented than last season's but has less experience. Tide has some key players limited this fall and will look different in the spring, plus they add impact freshman SS/RHP Chubb Jones in January. Two really talented teams that had memorable 2026s who might not look on paper like they can match that status but will enter the spring as contenders
Georgia Tech takes a 6-4 win over Alabama in Pensacola. Ryan Zuckerman was the offensive star for the Jackets with a pair of homers. Two good clubs looking to build on recent success
Georgia Tech has retaken the lead in the 5th as Coleman Lewis smacked a long home run into the gulf stream and then Ryan Zuckerman hit an even longer blast completely out of the stadium, his second home run of the game. Jackets lead 5-3 M5.
Alabama leads Georgia Tech 3-2 after 3 innings (will play 9 today). Ryan Zimmerman homered for the Jackets. Luke Vaughn had an RBI double, Sam Christiansen added an RBI single, and Coleman Mizell had an RBI groundout for the Tide. Jackson Blakely started and worked 2 scoreless for the Jackets. Matthew Heiberger started for Bama and allowed two unearned runs in three innings with 6 Ks.
Three players that missed all of Alabama's 2026 CWS season are back healthy and in the lineup for the Tide today. Coleman Mizell is leading off as the DH. Sam Christiansen is batting 3rd playing first, and Logen Devenport is batting 7th in right field. Also of note, Luke Vaughn, who was limited to first base due to injury last year, is catching and batting 2nd.

Florida State swept a pair of six-inning exhibitions from Jacksonville tonight winning 5-1 and 4-1. FSU pitchers fanned 10 in each game and the lineup slugged three homers on the night.
John Stuetzer has two of FSU's four hits with a third inning RBI single and a fifth inning two-run homer. The sophomore has five-tool talent and his continued improvement is among the most intriguing fall storylines. Noles lead 4-1 after 5.
Florida State leads Jacksonville 2-1 after four and a half innings. FSU RHP Sebastian Lippman's first three two pitches were 98 and 99 mph as he worked a 1-2-3 5th with 2 strikeouts #HeatSheet
