The woman who works at the supermarket says she called Police and informed them that someone was being attacked by a mob, but they only showed up 30minutes after he head already been beaten. The injuries caused led to the death of Mr Sydney Gongodyo🪦
❝Ubuntu is not a biblical concept but an ancient African one. Nevertheless it falls back on one simple thing: that humans have been created for togetherness, and what drives us apart is greed, lust for power, and a sense of exclusion, but those are aberrations.❞ ~ Allan Boesak
On June 16, 1971, Tupac Amaru Shakur (AKA 2Pac or Makaveli) was born. His mother, an active member of the Bay Area Black Panther Party, named him after the Peruvian native rebel who fought against Spanish colonization: Túpac Amaru II.
His musical career took rap music to new heights. Shakur’s lyrics spoke honestly and frankly to the senses of the masses, which is no surprise because he was a member of the Young Communist League, the Black Panther Party, and the New Afrikan Panthers.
Tragically, he was killed at 25 years old. At such a young age, he had the ability to shape the consciousness of his listeners by mixing his art with themes of personal introspection, wealth inequality, police brutality, and the harsh realities of working class life.
“You know it's funny, when it rains it pours, they got money for wars, but can't feed the poor.”
—2Pac
@onlyzeno@AmootiGuma In 2001, Moi and everyone else knew it was the last term. Mid 2001 was time for political maneuvering outside of official campaign season. So the threats atm make much more sense as compared to then.
"African journalists" like @LarryMadowo and @YousraElbagir are not telling you the "truth", my people.
They are telling you what their white bosses at @CNN and @SkyNews want them to tell you.
They are following orders like every good employee, and their bosses are your enemies.
Your paps was likely 18-25 during Amin’s time. I wouldn’t consider him an authority on this matter. Pointing out his old age at the moment doesn’t add to the potency of the shill.
I asked my 72 year old Paps, who's a staunch Kizza Besigye fan, this question, and he's said Amin is much worse. Atrocities carried out by his henchmen are not even documented. He narrated how one of our uncles ended up at State Research Bureau Nakasero because he had a petty fight over a girl at a night out with a relative to one of Amin's high ranking soldiers at that time. Our uncle was only saved during execution because one of the Major ordered to carry out the execution knew him from Arua since they were neighbors.
He also talked about how often times soldiers moved door to door in the night, looting houses of individuals. The endless roadblocks along Nebbi-Kla highway.
Amin's soldiers terrorized Uganda more than anything we're facing today. This in no way means we should settle for whatever we're facing today, say no to extra judicial detention.

"You young people, full of vigour and vitality, are in the bloom of life, like the sun at eight or nine in the morning. Our hope is placed on you. The world belongs to you. China's future belongs to you”.- Mao Zedong, November 1957
Finished reading this book and I'm likely to struggle to sleep.
Wuuuueeehhh afirika, you should have stayed in your small kingdoms. This democracy thingy is for civilised minds. Your leaders are too brutal and they don't care about you.
Just ego and poverty of the heart. 🚮
The government of Lebanon just filed a formal complaint with the United Nations because Israel sprayed tens of thousands of pounds of poisonous cancer causing chemicals all over Lebanese farm lands.
If you still think this has ANYTHING to do with Hezbollah you're stupid.
An old man once said, “During Amin’s regime, they would kidnap vocal citizens, strip them naked, & photograph them as a way of dehumanising them.”
Posterity will judge us when we become the old men. It may ask how, during Museveni’s regime, worse atrocities were allowed to happen
