UP political science professor Jean Franco on the seeming breakdown of the Uniteam: I think both camps have reached the point of no return. The problem is they've never really been together—their unity was just for the purpose of winning.

Franco also notes that the ongoing moves for charter change were different from previous efforts because "it's secretive, it's moving at a fast pace, and it wasn't even a campaign promise. Instead of the President convincing Congress on Cha-cha, it was him who was convinced."

Former OVP spokesperson and lawyer Barry Gutierrez on VP Sara's statement that she does not deserve despicable treatment of the President's men: Nobody deserves that esp she was a running mate. But it's still a far cry from what VP Leni had to live through under her father.
