A guy who got evicted from his apartment today opened fire on cops & hit two of them, k-lled two other people then himself in downtown Minneapolis.

KSTP 5 is reporting, “A law enforcement source says at least two people are dead after at least six people, including two police officers, were shot in downtown Minneapolis on Wednesday afternoon. The suspect died by suicide.

One officer was shot in the stomach, and another was shot in the leg, a city hall source said. A source close to
5 EYEWITNESS NEWS confirmed one officer is in surgery as of 5:39 p.m., adding the other officer received non-life-threatening injuries.

The source said the incident began when Minneapolis police were called to an apartment building near 15
East Grant Street. When officers entered the building, a shooter opened fire on them.

A witness told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS the shooting took place in an elevator in the apartment complex.

A source told KSTP that Minneapolis officers were called to the apartment earlier Wednesday for a disturbance involving the same suspect. They say he was evicted from the apartment today.”
