@AGA_Gastro Lastly, a rare case of hyperamylasemia.
DDx = pancreatitis, parotitis, intestinal obstruction or perforation.
And in rare cases, amylase-producing malignancies (like multiple myloma)
Look for concurrent anemia or other suggestive features
@AGA_Gastro Then there's a case I haven't seen since an early episode of House:
What's causing jaundice, fevers, weight loss, and sclerosing cholangitis?
In this case, Erdheim-Chester disease, diagnosed only by biliary biopsy showing CD68+ histiocytes.

@AGA_Gastro Lastly, for the case report fans among us, there's an interesting case of collagenous gastritis, which can cause chronic diarrhea, reflux, and weight loss
🔑 treatment is not standardized, but might include budesonide, adjunctive PPIs, and nutritional support.
@AGA_Gastro Second, a commentary on CPUs for endoscopic resection of early CRC

I've anecdotally seen some good outcomes with EUS-guided hepaticojejunostomy in patients with total gastrectomy, so it's nice to see other centers report the same in this month's @GIE_Journal
👉Technical success = 100%
👉Clinical success = 80%
👉Adverse events = 33%
Appreciated this article from @BilalMohammadMD (with commentary by @EndoscopyOthman ) on endoscopic internalization of PCTs.
1 thing I've been told is to consider manual instillation via syringe to better feel the pressure.
Well worth the short read for those of us who do it!
