@annalapwood what a treat to have you at Zimmer v Williams this afternoon! And just a few weeks after your ace concert too! Thanks for all you do - and congrats on the success of your album.
Only 29% of adult social care staff have dementia training. That is not good enough. Thank you @Jenny4SuffCoast for raising dementia in the Commons today, we warmly welcome Minister @SKinnock reply, committing to ramping up dementia training for the adult social care workforce.
💙 We've met Jim - @AnnaRichardso's wonderful dad - and learnt a bit more about what gave Anna the determination to shine a light on the UK's forgotten crisis.
Anna Richardson: #LoveLossAndDementia showing right now on @Channel4.
Tonight (because of this important and hard-hitting documentary), @warrenhobden and I are launching https://t.co/Htzj6ZpgDU. No personal or domestic care here. We connect people with dementia with dementia friends (companions) who share the same interests and hobbies as them.
Tonight ⏰
Anna Richardson: #LoveLossAndDementia. A new documentary on the devastating impact dementia is having on families across the UK.
We need to get more people talking about dementia, and that starts on @Channel4 at 10pm.
@Keir_Starmer Very proud of @peterkyle in this line-up. An amazing and credible rise to seniority: steady, determined and an aspirational leader since being elected in 2015. You’re no longer my MP but I still watch your success from afar. Good luck over the next 3 weeks.
@PrincessCruises: extremely disappointed with this queue that snakes at least 750m in the centre of Balboa in 30 degree heat. All to reboard shuttle buses back to the inaccessible port that doesn’t allow pedestrian’s walking access.
We’re running the pilot of our new ‘prototyping in the browser’ training course tomorrow. It’s aimed at content designers and it’s taught by the rather wonderful @frankieroberto. Let me know if you’re interested in hearing more and I’ll send you more info 🤩
Come for a day out with me, my Dad, @TommyTommytee18 and his pal Paul
We are keen for everyone to learn a bit about helping make families living alongside #dementia feel confident in hospitality & retail settings. We can all make a difference 💪
@BBCBreakfast after 8am
Just heard @NinaWarhurst's experience of being a carer to her elderly dad with dementia, & comparing that to being a parent carer. Society & our social care system just aren't #dementiafriendly. I say that as a carer to my 88yo Mum who's had dementia since 2014. We must do more.
My social posting is infrequent, but I just had to praise the wonderful Daybreak team at @ageukwsbh. Mum has Alzheimer's so attends Daybreak twice per week. Here are some of the wonderful creations they've helped her to craft. Cannot praise them enough.
Can someone at @SkyNews sort out the sound in central lobby? Too much background noise to clearly hear @SophyRidgeSky and her interviewees! Thank you!!
Hi @Notcuttsuk - lovely being at your Ditchling branch today. Any chance of you upgrading the wheelchair trolleys though? The 3 there are rusty, have insecure fixings and they move in the opposite direction when you try to turn a corner, resulting in squashed toes. #Disability
@Notcuttsuk Gosh @Notcuttsuk: still no new wheelchair friendly trolleys … these rusty old ones are still at your centre in Ditchling: they’re the ones that cause injuries to wheelchair users. When are these being replaced?
📢 We have some exciting content design contractor roles coming up across the Ministry of Justice. If you're a contractor with experience designing user-centred content for government services, please get in touch! ✍️ #contentdesign
Lovelies - I know an *awesome* disabled content designer wanting to move on from a shit situation in their current role.
Looking for Head of level B2C role. Has built teams before, and specialises in AI-driven interfaces and storytelling.
Pls RT! 🎉🎉
Great to see @EmilyHMiles (@foodgov and my former colleague) on #theoneshow this evening. Not changed a bit - important message on allergies too. Checkout https://t.co/Tms2TeIQVo
