@ChizukuruC@MikeyCycling Why does a certain proportion of society blame reporters of offences, it's the driver using their phone there is no excuse for it! I wouldn't like to be caught doing it so you know what I don't do it! I'm human I might slip up and make a mistake but own the mistake my goodness.
@adamtranter I'd disagree mainly on the fact they've thought of someone else. I genuinely believe they just seen a space for them to use and didn't even spare a thought aside from I can't park on the road.
A traffic warden could pay their weeks wages with just this one video!
@Pflax1 It's not the quotes in the article. It's everything around them. Don't get me wrong I really feel for the family and the kid involved. The whole article though is slanted in a way that absolves the driver of any responsibility. Which to me is highly unethical reporting.
@Pflax1 This article was either written by someone who failed basic English, published by someone who didn't check their AI work or by editors whose guidelines read as... Get clicks anyway you can!
I'm betting it's all 3.
Hope the payout is quick.. doubt it though

@H_H_Gray The dogs are fine not dangerous just bored out their nut being left alone with nothing to do.
The owners on the other hand are the real dangers...
@PPushbike @azb2019@BassfordDan@tracey_wicker@share_sare Sadly there is precedent of drivers lying and the CPS choosing no further action. But it's far too early to claim that in this case.

We need to accept that accidents happen and we need to learn from them.
@azb2019 I understand the thoughts of it being an SUV, with that exacerbating the damage these vehicles can do. The same can be said about the road design or the lack of bollards that would have helped.
We can't punish someone for something they are not responsible/accountable for.
@janipewter @n00dles71@SurreyRS@MikeyCycling That "you're going to cost him his job" and the whole exceptional hardship thing really annoy me.
I mean the points system does not ban for totting up for just 1 offense, people just don't learn or don't care! I'm leaning towards option 2.
@gazza_d I really do enjoy the posts from @WorldBollard the fact she hit it is the reason it was there!
I wish I had some sort of portable bollard at times that spring up exactly 1.5 to MI right as soon as any vehicle overtakes me on the bike! One can dream eh!?
@DSB4454 I'm surprised you continued on after that. I'd of stopped off for a drink to calm me nerves and thank my lucky stars that I was still alive!
Hope you pedal for coffee or ice cream this weekend!
