@Ebonyteach This was the very first film I saw in the cinema when I was 7 or 8. The wheelies were the most terrifying thing I had ever seen but I loved it.
@TriciaAyrton@LondonRareBooks@pykelets Hmmm, it doesn't ring any bells - the only Mother Alphabet reference I've been able to find is this rather brilliant-looking example from 1917. Any more clues/date range/format?
I *think* I have finally narrowed down the selection of ABC books to bring for my session at the @LondonRareBooks summer school with @pykelets tomorrow. I just hope I can carry them all!
Fantastic start of my week long course on children's books @LondonRareBooks talking about their impossible existence with @pykelets and about the many messages in and roles of ABC books with @markleecarter
Loved every minute of it! Head bursting with new research ideas 🤯🤯🤯
@theTLtweets@LondonRareBooks@pykelets It was lovely to meet you and the rest of the class and share so many interesting discussions. Hope you have a fantastic rest of the week!

We are so accustomed to abc books that follow the a=apple, b=ball format that we can forget there are other possibillities as beautifully explored in this wonderful work by @jhope10 and @mumblerik, B is Two Bubbles
