Former @SDSheriff Bill Gore pulled his name from consideration for the SD Ethics Commission after being nominated by @MayorToddGloria who faced criticism over excessive inmate deaths in jails during Gore’s tenure. Nomination was scheduled to be approved at tomorrow’s Council mtg.

This is absolute BS and performative. I discourage anyone from booking w/ @GrandWelcome anywhere but ESPECIALLY #Hawaii. Not wanting to put a strain on islands resources during the fires, we cancelled our trip and now this company is refusing any types of refunds/accommodations.
