Great session on trunk training following severe stroke. The packed room highlighted the interest in this important area. We finished with some trunk training in our seats!! @JenniferNCrow#uksf23
1/2 #UKSF23 Fantastic to have severe stroke and trunk training on today’s programme! Thank you @JenniferNCrow & @Dr_Sarah_Moore for chairing. Great to have a focus on severe stroke and one for future programmes I’m sure. Hoping to hear about using progressive seating
Looking forward to presenting at #UKSF23 about rehabilitation after severely disabling stroke- a challenging and under-researched area of stroke rehabilitation practice
Join us to hear from @markmcglinchey@IsaacSorinola and Liselot Thijs - the latest Cochrane evidence regarding trunk training, what is happening in practice and the ATTEST trial. An important and clinically challenging area to do well @RCOT_NP@StrokeImperial@louiseclark15
Its Friday and that means its our final #UKSF23 session preview of the week and today we round up the workshops on Day 2!
Chaired by @SarahMoorePhys and @JenniferNCrow this workshop will look at trunk training after a severe stroke!
Dr Liselot Thijs, @markmcglinchey and @IsaacSorinola join them as they review the latest Cochrane evidence base for trunk training after stroke, and introduce to attendees a feasibility study that looked at providing additional trunk training to individuals with severe stroke.
After months of behind the scenes work, our Parkinson’s exercise video with Joe Wicks has been released! So excited for everyone to see this! Thank you to everyone @GSTTnhs for all the support

Wonderful insights in this study, well done @markmcglinchey. It shows how the absence of evidence to guide rehab for people who are non-ambulant post-stroke, leaves us relying so heavily on clinical experience. Hats off to the amazing clinicians who work magic. #strokerehab
