[Mark Mulvany @markmulvany]

I think for me it's really about embracing change understanding that as well as supporting existing platforms it's the ability to take advantage of modern cloud native capabilities https://t.co/IP0swcUCFL #getworkloadagile https://t.co/2rhpcsUs4e

[Mark Mulvany @markmulvany]

It comes back to agility for business outcomes and the exciting piece for me is being able to leverage containers and Kubernetes out of the box on the same platform where I can robustly run my traditional virtual applications which in ... #getworkloadagile https://t.co/DXm9ScOXD4

[Mark Mulvany @markmulvany]

This is the core tenet of Dell Technologies Cloud Strategy powered by VMware allowing our customers to both manage traditional IAAS focused workloads and Cloud Native workloads particularly leveraging VCF 4.0 with Tanzu. #getworkloadagile https://t.co/gSSmFO0eTJ

[Mark Mulvany @markmulvany]

But we also need to prepare organizations to take advantage of Cloud Native on their own terms. #getworkloadagile https://t.co/BCiphFbcZj

[Mark Mulvany @markmulvany]

Great question and please everyone chime in as well. From my perspective we need to manage the traditional applications and I don't like the term legacy as these applications are still the lifeblood of the business. #getworkloadagile https://t.co/zUsnYzEX7X

[Mark Mulvany @markmulvany]

Yes indeed the death of the datacentre has been predicted several times but missed the point #getworkloadagile https://t.co/IouAWTDGIK

[Mark Mulvany @markmulvany]

Cloud First is not a strategy it's a statement #getworkloadagile https://t.co/9M8p20qmA9

[Mark Mulvany @markmulvany]

Yes have to admit I hear cloud first a lot and we need to go back to what is the business requirement of the workload #getworkloadagile https://t.co/gwsqAGKUK1

[Mark Mulvany @markmulvany]

Often we hear people define cloud as a place which is incorrect #getworkloadagile https://t.co/wrofY2V1lJ

[Mark Mulvany @markmulvany]

I think the first thing we need to address is what is cloud ? #getworkloadagile https://t.co/n3RHuwaEBu

[Mark Mulvany @markmulvany]

What's clear is we have choice and it's not about on prem vs cloud but really understanding the workload to decide where it makes most business sense for you to run hence Getworkloadagile #getworkloadagile https://t.co/fzSRKC4nD9

[Mark Mulvany @markmulvany]

During the session I discussed the options available around this and certainly doing nothing is an option if not a very good one #getworkloadagile https://t.co/okRoKMMNUd

[Mark Mulvany @markmulvany]

What's interesting when you look at the graph that Suhela tweeted al lot of those environments are running on out of support versions of SQL 2008 R2 or earlier. #getworkloadagile https://t.co/szahWDCGPS

[Mark Mulvany @markmulvany]

I think it brings up a great discussion point on where is the best place to home your Database #getworkloadagile https://t.co/ZQStbBvqli
