Four easy ways to make sure children have a positive experience in youth sports:
Make sure all kids get to play. Nobody learns anything sitting on the bench.
Emphasize fun and learning over competition and winning. Plenty of time down the road when kids turn into teenagers to focus on winning.
Don't yell at the kids, Coach the kids! All yelling does is make kids more nervous. Calmly talk to the kids. Create activities that accomplish the skill you're trying to teach.
Finally just let the kids play...game days are for playing, so let them play.
Coach them in practice!

Congratulations to Wills Bennison and Henry Rogers who picked up their Gray-Nicolls Trophy awards (2022 & 2023) from Tom Haines at Monday's ceremony.
The award goes to the best schoolboy batter for the year.
Previous winners included Ian Bell, Mark Rampraskash and Dom Sibley.
@chrisnash23 It’s down to a vote of all @SussexCricketLg clubs. We are all time poor, to keep recreational cricket strong we need to encourage players to keep playing.
Best of luck to Henry Rogers at Lords today. After playing for England U19’s this summer he now represents England Schools against the MCC
