Within just 2 years of ownership, EVs catch up and blow gas cars away in their lifetime emission output. From cradle to grave. If you think the grave is where the mess begins for EV battery packs, think again. The world’s biggest EV maker, has a closed-loop program where it recycles nearly 100% of its scrapped lithium ion batteries. Of course, Cobalt is the elephant in the room, but most people are surprised to learn that companies like Panasonic and Tesla have slashed the amount of Cobalt use in recent years. In fact, Tesla says about 50% of its new models produced today use no cobalt at all.
Building a battery is an environmental cost that’s paid once. Burning gasoline is a cost that’s paid again, and again, and again.

BREAKING: Donald Trump get devastating news as Democrats formally launch a probe into his shockingly corrupt request to major oil companies for $1 billion in campaign cash.
But it gets even better...
Democratic star Congressman Jamie Raskin sent a letter to the CEOs of eight massive energy companies and oil lobbyist groups that attended a secretive Mar-a-Lago dinner with Trump.
According to reports, Trump asked for the $1 billion at the dinner and pitched it as a great "deal" for the companies since he'd be able to slash regulations and taxes to boost their profits.
In his letter, Raskin condemned the meeting as an "unvarnished quid pro quo offer."
Raskin also took aim at a Politico report which stated that the oil industry is already writing executive orders for Trump to sign if he wins. Raskin wrote that the companies "may have already accepted or facilitated Mr. Trump’s explicit corrupt bargain."
Raskin requested that the companies hand over any information on discussions about campaign contributions from the dinner and all policy documents that have been prepared for Trump to sign.

Want to Know what is happening with Elon Musk's companies today?
Here you go!
10th of May, 2024
■ TESLA $TSLA ($168.47, -2.04%):
- Giga Berlin was stormed by approximately 800 black clad protesters today to stop the expansion of the factory. Police have stated that the far-left militant organization "Vulkan Group" has declared war on Tesla and is most likely behind the protests. The group posted online that it was "looking forward to an exciting week of action" and that there were "many opportunities to attack companies like Tesla."
- Elon first posted, "This is fake news," and "There are still 2 intact fence lines all around. Note, this is “National Protest Week” in Germany." Protesters surely passed the police line. The fences Elon is talking about were referenced and shown in an update I wrote last week. A flyover pic shows a temporary fence Tesla put in place. I asked what it was for then, but now it makes sense.
Elon replied to my post about the protest asking, "Why are they not jailed for breaking and entering?" He replied to another post stating, "Something super weird is going on, as Tesla was the *only* car company attacked!"
- Tesla has placed Bonne Eggleston as their new lead of the 4680 battery program. Eggleston joined the company seven years ago as a senior manager for New Product Introduction in Powertrain.
.- Elon on Supercharging Network, "Just to reiterate: Tesla will spend well over $500M expanding our Supercharger network to create thousands of NEW chargers this year. That’s just on new sites and expansions, not counting operations costs, which are much higher." Elon also reposted a Supercharger X Community. Link in the thread.
- Tesla Australia has sent out emails on the Supercharger network. "We've heard concerns about recent changes to the Supercharger program; The Supercharger network is still core to Tesla's mission; The network will continue to be expanded. Projects currently in construction are continuing to be completed and put into operation."
- Tesla owners are stating that vehicles with 2024.8 are now receiving software version 2024.14.5. I am one of the owners and I have not received anything. People in this group also never received a free month of FSD. I will keep you posted.
- CyberHammer is officially off the market. Well, unless you hit up eBay.
PRICE CHANGE:
United States
> Model Y Seven Seat option is now $1,000, down from $2,000.
FLYOVERS:
> Fremont Factory: MetGod, 10th of May, '24. Today we get to see the new 4680 building and the Kato Rd. Facility. If you were not aware, Tesla makes their seats at the Kato Rd facility. Lots of vehicles in the end of line lot and the outbound is pumping.
> Giga Texas: Brad Sloan, 9th of May, '24. Model Ys production has increased. Plent in the outbound lot. Cybertrucks still rolling out.
■ SPACEX:
- Yesterday launch 50 of Falcon 9 Starlink 8-2 took place from Space Launch Complex 4E (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. This was the fourth flight for the booster. It previously launched USSF-62 and two Starlink missions. The booster landed on drone ship Of Course I Still Love You in the Pacific Ocean. 20 Starlinks were deployed, including 13 with Direct to Cell... Correct me if I am wrong, but my understanding is that when a payload is only 20, that means 2 to 3 Starlinks are not announced because they are a part of the Starshield program.
- Starship 29 entered Mega Bay 2 today. Starship 30 was lifted off of the test stand and placed on the transporter. Should be moved to the production site soon. Fresh paint is going onto the legs of the Orbital Launch Mount. And a Marine Safety Information Bulletin was posted for Boca Chica on the 16th of May from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. CT. Possible Wet Dress Rehearsal for IFT-4.
Countdown to 144 (48- Falcon 9, 0 - Falcon Heavy, and 1 - Starship):
> Launch 51! Sunday, 12th of May, at 8:11 p.m. ET, Falcon 9 Starlink 6-58 will launch from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral, Florida. The booster will land on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean.
> Launch 52! Monday, 13th of May, at 9:52 a.m. PT, Falcon 9 Starlink 8-7 will launch from Space Launch Complex 4E (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. The booster will land on a drone ship in the Pacific Ocean.
■ THE BORING COMPANY:
- Prufrock-3 continues to bore under the highway. It might be half-way by now. Listening to Joe's (u/JoeTegtmeyer) latest video, you learn that The Boring Company is nearly finished with Prufrock-4 and are already designing 5. SpaceX mentality at work here.
■ NEURALINK: N/A...
■ STARLINK:
- These men are part of the Floresta Cultural Institute (ICF). They are distributing Starlinks and have a dozen already in operation in locations affected by the floods in Brazil. Before delivery, they are configured, powered and tested to ensure operation in the field. ICF has now purchased more than 200 Starlinks to help rescuers and volunteers. Great work!
- Yesterday, Quilty Space analysts hosted a webinar and forecasted Starlink revenue. They claimed SpaceX is on track to generate $6.6 billion in revenue for 2024! “Starlink’s achievements over the past three years are mind-blowing. We’re projecting a revenue jump from $1.4 billion in 2022 to $6.6 billion in 2024." For perspective's sake, the combined revenue of the two largest geostationary satellite operators, SES and Intelsat, which are to merge, is around $4.1 billion.
- I reported yesterday that StandardAero's Van Nuys facility finished their first install of Starlink Aviation on a Bombardier Global 6000. Well, today Thornton Aviation announced they just installed one in a Gulfstream G650. Starlink Aviation is not only picking up speed in the major airlines, but also in the smaller charter businesses. Pic in the thread.
- Elon posted an image Australia in radio frequency from the Starlink Direct to Cell satellites. Per Christopher Stanley (u/cstanley) of SpaceX and X, "The signal-to-noise ratio for the ocean compared to land is distinct! Using 2 GHz photons to capture some striking images." Pic in the thread.
- Simon Møkster Shipping out of Rogaland, Norway, announced they will install Starlink across their fleet of 15 vessels. Per Terje Gjerde, Chief Information Officer, "This next stage of our journey will see us engage with a new era of digital operations, with vessels and shore teams working as one regardless of their physical location."
■ X:
- Advertisers now have the ability to reach users on X by describing who they want to target. A new feature called AI Audiences uses a description of who you want to advertise to and use X’s AI systems to generate a pool of the most relevant targets.
- Christopher Stanley asked if X should breakdown the details of each X update like Tesla does, Per Elon, "All updates should include details of what improved."
- A casting button is coming for X on iOS.
- Yesterday, X activated some of the new blocking program. When you block a user, they won't get kicked out of any group chats you both are in. Whoever you blocked still won't be able to message you individually, but will still see your messages in a shared group chat.
■ xAI:
- xAI's Toby Pohlen (u/TobyPhln) and team were at the International Conference on Learning Representations in Vienna. Guest got to chat about research, engineering, and life at xAI!
■ ELON NEWS:
- Yesterday, San Francisco U.S. District Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley is seeking to force Elon to testify as part of its probe into his 2022 purchase of Twitter.

@JoeTegtmeyer Thanks, Joe. Very Informative. I'd like a solar roof but know that they are prohibitively expensive unless you have to replace your existing roof that I do not presently need to do.
Hundreds and hundreds a of Cybertrucks at Giga Texas today! W outbound lot, E side of new EOL & W Supercharger station filled to overflowing, & about 100+ more in the E testing lot! More coming out of the SE side of the factory too, non-stop during my drone flight time today! Hope customers get these soon!
Congrats, John, on getting your Tesla Cybertruck custom-wrapped, especially with a digital black camo. What a unique way to revive your Cybertruck! 🔥It's going to look even more sleek with an #RPLATE. 👀@teslaownersSV@Tesla#cybertruck
First pics of my Cybertruck delivery. Still trying to take it all in! The San Antonio Airport Tesla crew did an outstanding job getting me set up and it was a great experience! Thank you to Tesla and all the employees at Giga Texas for making a great vehicle!
Investing in $TSLA is more than just about buying shares, it's about believing in a vision that could transform earth, literally. It's about seeing beyond the volatility of the stock market & believing in a future powered by sustainable energy, where electric vehicles, solar panels, and battery storage are more than just products, but products that are fundamentally changing the trajectory of how we live. It’s a journey with Tesla at the helm, leading us towards a world filled with the most exciting products like the Cybertruck, the next-gen models, vans, the Roadster, and Optimus. It's about expanding factories to get to the goal of 10-20 million units produced annually, solving FSD, deploying robotaxis with no human drivers, scaling up 4680 battery cells, and building a global charging infrastructure to support this EV revolution we are witnessing today. This is a company that makes us excited to want to really live another day into the future to see it all happen.
It’s a vision that comes with its share of challenges & delays. These things are extremely difficult to accomplish and big dreams DO NOT follow strict schedules & timelines. They unfold in their own time, often testing people’s patience along the way. But for those who stand firm, not swayed by the short-term ups & downs, the future is incredibly bright. In fact, it’s as bright as it’s ever been.
Remember, Wall Street is focused on quarterly earnings and immediate short-term results, but your advantage as a retail investor lies in your ability to look beyond. You're not rated by the short-term, you're free to focus on the long run, to see the potential of what lies further ahead than a quarter or even a year. Time is on your side.
Every bit of turbulence is just part of the climb. We're in this together, fighting for a future that's brighter not just for us but for the next generations to come. If you ever doubt or feel the journey's weight, remember why you started in the first place.
Long & strong till the end.
