Its so obvious why Nolan immediately made Jennifer Lame and Göransson his go-tos for editing and score after this movie. Their work is integral to the language of his last three films lol
the fun thing about carly rae jepsen's career is that she has made arguably 3 or 4 of the best pop songs of the last 16 years and none of them are call me maybe
I’m so done with the “it’s here” argument. “It’s here” is utterly meaningless. You don’t aid and abet widely destructive tech just by virtue of it BEING HERE
I often find myself thinking about the villain in Tenet, a rich and powerful man who’s dying and is so obsessed with his own narcissistic control of others that he’d rather destroy the world than forfeit one ounce of his influence over it. No reason why that’s on my mind lately.
genuinely fascinating that we’ve hit a point where the full monetization of the internet and ai bot takeover has led to a majority of people wanting tech minimalism
"Living without ai is an impossible utopia" bruh we were living it like 5 years ago and we were doing just fine without that shit. You're letting your brain be cooked on slow heat. And your planet too. In exchange for wrong answers and shitty pics.
i think the thing that bugs me most with AI is that the curiosity of trying to do/make/learn something, knowing you might fail or discover something else, is such a driving force of my joy and i'm sad to see it snuffed out by people whose only concept of 'art' is an end result
Facing the most shameful, weak, unpracticed, undisciplined version of yourself with compassion in order to grow and get better is the quickest path to self actualisation
Somebody said don't be afraid to spend money on concert tickets and travel. Be afraid of growing old and realizing the only place you ever went was work.
And I couldn't agree more.
