The Roman Empire didn't fall because of one invasion. It fell because the currency was debased until soldiers refused to fight for it. The Spanish Empire didn't collapse because it lost a war. It collapsed because it spent its wealth conquering instead of building. The British Empire didn't end because the colonies suddenly got stronger. It ended because maintaining global control became more expensive than the empire was worth. Every empire in history has ended the same way: military overextension drains the treasury, the currency gets debased to cover the shortfall, domestic infrastructure crumbles while resources flow to the periphery, and eventually the center can't hold. The pattern is 100% consistent across 3,000 years of recorded history.
For anyone who would like to hear Mark Carney’s outstanding Davos speech in full here it is. This is what true global leadership looks like.
Canada should be immensely proud today, because they are leading the fight back when others dare not.

@binance,
Thanks for including me in the top 100 blockchain people list, appreciate the signal!
I must decline the Dubai invite though. I do not wish to disrespect, but many of the award voters are avid kaspians who rooted for my kaspa status at least as much as for my research. Let them win or count me out.
Crypto has turned from a euphoric cypherpunk project to a house-friendly casino. You may not be the culprit, but as a top player you hold the lion’s share of the responsibility to correct this, and the October crash your USDe oracle glitch helped trigger adds to what needs to be addressed.
There are three classes of crypto, as @mert put it recently: commercial crypto, casino crypto, cypherpunk crypto. <<Binance should hold a privilege policy for the latter.>> A TBTF CEX should know better and play a different game with hardcore crypto projects.
When binance lists a green frog three weeks post its “launch” but skips a fair-launched-Nakamoto-Consensus-100ms-upgrade-ATH-top-20-the-only-nonbitcoin-marathon-mined project, this is not merely binance rationally calculating; it is also binance molding the market in a way that is alas misaligned with the roots of the movement.
You may feel that kaspa’s sovereign money thesis is boring – that bitcoin is already money and that implementing an internet-speed bitcoin is useless - fine. Wrong but fine. But what’s the thesis for the green frog?
Money is a classic chicken-and-egg product. It is a scam up until one moment before tipping point, “most of the value comes from the value that others place in it.” Considering your resources and influence, I think it's safe to say you can serve as both the egg and the chicken and make it worth your while to push sound attempts towards tipping point.
@cz_binance tweeted recently that “strong projects will be listed.” But binance is part of what defines "strong", it bears responsibility for the market’s compass and impulse and definition of strong. It is not a read-only entity.
Binance listing fees are legit, they are just unfit for category cypherpunk. Kaspa devs and early supporters fairly mined less than half what satoshi and hals mined. We don’t have a 20% ZEC-style founders’ reward or protocol-enforced dev fund; this is not a jab at ZEC and the wonderful @Zooko, who was crashing in my car on a late Thursday back in the low ZEC MC days – if somebody deserves to win it is zooko – but assuming binance is not taking a maxi bet, it should revisit its relationship with hardcore crypto.
We are here through bull and bear, ICOs NFTs XYZs; and we are the source of confidence that restores faith and capital inflow post meme-induced or CEX-induced crashes.
Please fix this.
Thanks again,
hashdag

🚨 WallStreetBetsCrypto is buzzing about $KAS — and the sentiment is nearly unanimous: bullish. 📈

🚨 Full update on $BTC : It's been 6 months, and price action is now following the Wyckoff Theory 100%.
According to the Wyckoff Theory, whales and financial institutions have been accumulating #Bitcoin for nearly 6 months, a significantly long period. This suggests that the current bullish cycle is unlikely to end within just 1–2 months. Instead, this uptrend may last at least another six months. This is just the beginning. Price has already moved past the LPS (Last Point of Support) phase and is now heading into the SoS (Sign of Strength) phase. Therefore, a $130,000 target seems inevitable.🚀

Elon: "I’ve never done anything harmful, I’ve only done productive things."
He's now constantly complaining about the Tesla boycotts, and that's because his fortune is mostly in this stock.
People are free to boycott your products if you perform public sieg heils, defund Ebola prevention and AIDS research, complain about social welfare while getting 10s of billions in subsidies, actively interfere in foreign elections, and support anti-democratic actions of the Trump administration.
Keep boycotting Tesla and Starlink, and buy European, Canadian and Mexican!

Kaspa $kas is poorly communicated. That's a fact. Let's tend to it, together.
Kaspa is very well branded and marketed. Everyone's heard about it and is aware of its visual language and color scheme.
But still, it is poorly communicated.
If you look Kaspa up on YouTube, you find pages upon pages of nothing but KOL and investment channels talking about price. If you search for "what is Kaspa", the situation is even worse.
And that's just one example.
We seriously lack educational content, documentation, deep reporting of new developments, and generally any resources for those seeking to learn what's happening under the hood or on the front lines.
For a project like Kaspa, which rewrites the fundamentals in a way that challenges deeply rooted misconceptions, this is especially detrimental. By nature, we make very extravagant claims: Kaspa solves the trilemma, Kaspa solves MEV, Kaspa solves state bloat. But extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, and the evidence is locked behind dense, unaccommodating, and complicated mathematical and technical discussions. Mobilizing this knowledge is key to Kaspa's success.
That has been my mission since mainnet launched, and I am very proud of my work.
Kaspa boasts one of the strongest, most intelligent, active, and educated communities in cryptospace. Kaspa was launched into a zeitgeist where proof-of-work was considered an outdated ex-territoria with one leg in the grave, and ushered in a PoW renaissance, elevating the concept of BlockDAG from "we tried it once but couldn't get it to work" to a household name. I like to think that I had a part in these accomplishments.
But I cannot do this alone any longer. We have become too large. Too many things are happening. Just keeping track of it all requires immense effort, not to mention writing about it, not to mention producing videos about it, not to mention simultaneously writing a book, not to mention... you get the picture.
The time has come to take the task of properly communicating Kaspa to another level, and I humbly propose myself for that mission. I cannot propose a concrete strategy yet, as it depends on the resources that will be available to me. But I can promise you that: no cent will go to waste.
In my dream scenario, I form a team: a video editor, a producer, and myself, working full-time to create text and video Kaspa content. Edumarketing, interviews, online courses, my book, you name it. With enough budget, we could make it happen!
So what can you do to help:
1. Help me get the word around. Share this post. Tell people about this initiative. Encourage anyone to seek me out if they have any questions.
