At 16, I dropped out of school to do circus work.
No, I didn't end up flipping burgers for a living.
Instead I:
👉🏻 Graduated from Columbia University
👉🏻 Launched 3 funded startups
👉🏻 Now coach entrepreneurs all over the world
Here is my guide for a happy unconventional life:
@RoguePOTUSStaff@TIME 490K followers and your contribution is "bad vibes." No policy. No counter-argument. Maine workers don't care about aesthetics. They care about Medicaid and who just took $2M from Blackstone.
@Run2blockchaos@TIME The progressive/Democrat distinction you're making is real and worth arguing. But Graham isn't a movement candidate — he's a Maine vet running on workers and economic revival. Look past the hit pieces.
@yetiohio@TIME I respect your service and your read. But walk me through the R version of this. Show me the Republican combat vet who came back damaged, did years of hard work to rebuild, and is running on workers rights and economic revival for a gutted state. Compare to Collins.
@Friars223@TIME By that standard we'd have disqualified Lincoln, Eisenhower, JFK, Trump, and every leader who ever carried something hard into office and said things they later regretted. The wounds are what made them. The question is what you do with them.
@HankyPanky0@TIME A tattoo makes someone a Nazi now. Interesting standard. Does that apply to every veteran with ink, or just the ones running against your team?

Whenever you feel jealous, it's not because someone else is happy.
It's because you know you're wasting time.
That ugly feeling in your gut? It's your soul begging you to stop playing small.
Sit down. Get quiet. Ask the questions you've been dodging.
Not: "What do I want?" But: "What am I here for? What is my soul's purpose?"
There is a part of you that already knows the answer.
Are you just scared to hear it?
Your writing is lame because you:
1. Don't believe in your own ideas
2. Lack a sense of purpose about why you are writing
3. Use ChatGPT instead of trusting your genius to guide you
If you had access to your inner wisdom your writing would be inspired instead of tired.
@IsabelMgarcia45 Speed is overrated. Depth is what the world needs. Pausing and taking a breath can make all the difference between insightful and forgettable.
I hear you Akshat. We all probably feel more comfortable speaking than writing, which is much harder and requires more thinking and attention. But not only does writing sharpen your thinking, it allows you to connect with a bigger audience. I am working on the problem of how to help non-writers become more powerful through their writing.
