My day always starts with 4 sticky notes. By 3:15, all of them must be passed out with a special message of appreciation or encouragement to 4 of my kids. The goal? Show each student they’re noticed and valued. Thanks for the inspiration @thomascmurray #SEL #relationshipbuilding

When I tell you my 6th graders ROCK! I gave them a research project over an art song of their choice that's due Friday. It included: TDQ's, close reading, and research methods. This child took time during her break to finish AND email it to me!

I am so blessed to impact students each day that are not in my program; I'm mindful that they may need me too. This is the by-product of kids who may not have a positive male role model, and recognize that you care.
