@DerekWatson4@ScotlandNT@FIFAWorldCup Picking a young player who before this weekend had played 17 mins of senior football in his career is a baffling decision. Playing well for a half against the 10 men of Curaรงao doesn't justify being included in a WC squad. Miller is a young player and is vastly more experienced.
@Dafc_1999@officialdafc Tinpot would be not signing enough decent goalies for the squad at the start of the season and having to get a goalkeeper on loan from another club, with the risk he could be recalled if his parent club's goalie gets injured.
@Steffmcd80 ....it's not only down to the number of cameras. There's a real lack of consistency in reviewing VAR and applying the laws consistently and appropriately
@21Maxwell We have recalled our player because we need to do so. He's a Motherwell player and Motherwell need him tomorrow due to injury. This "shafted Dunfermline" pish is nonsense.
@GorgieOpinion One of Motherwell's two goalkeepers is injured so they are recalling their player as they need cover for the game tomorrow. How exactly is that rough from Motherwell?
@PaulBruce75@grayzerpaul One of the Motherwell goalkeepers has an injury and he's a Motherwell player. That's why they are recalling him. He can go back to Dunfermline after the game v Hibs.
When folk say or write Heavenly Football Heaven in podcast or feature, I step right back. Turn off.
So here goes:
LAST NIGHT for one night only Motherwell Vs Heart of Midlothian served up heavenly football heaven! I was there. I saw it. (St.Mirren v Kilmarnock earlier in the day was not a slight on this).
HERE on the former Steelworks, and before that on what were green rolling agricultural fields minding theirย own business with however a mother well on the Ladywell Road back in the hamlet, I saw a match that made me smile non-stop for 2 hours.
The game had loads of added time bits. Yet the atmosphere in the streets before and after extended the match as well. I could have wanted this forever.
Here surrounding it, this heaven, so much warm claret and amber COLOUR shared by the two clubs. Hearts fans ALL turned up with their scarves. In the run up to kick-off one could see why: every Hearts fan swinging it above their head, what a sight. MOTHERWELL had their own deck of colours, cards, ribbons, silky banners unfurled everywhere else where Hearts were not.
Kids everywhere. Bobble hats. Children gonna be out til well after bedtime. BIGGEST crowd here for 20 years. The auld concrete like a palace or cathedral.
And there was the match itself, a giddying unbolted wild rocking-horse of a game, thrills and fouls and spills and headers and shots. VAR trying to make sense of it.
In the end the match was Drawn - we all won!!
Photos - except for the heavenly Drone imagined (courtesy of Motherwell's own photographer had I included it) - all by ME StuartRoyClarke/HomesOfFootball @SFSA.
@JSwizzle565 @BBCSportScot He's so average that the league leaders have dropped 6 points against his team. Have they dropped more points against any other team?
@TouchlineX "Data" without any reference to a source or sources. It always amazes me how people read stuff like this and automatically accept that it's true without question.
