What Miller says here is exactly what we are seeing in the government/Establishment reaction to the Belfast attack.
Ordinary people are, in the Establishment view, too stupid to react organically to something their moral compass tells them is a great wrong, and will only react when an "authority figure" (like in this instance Musk or Farage) tells them what is "appropriate".
What the Establishment is angry about isn't the attempted beheading, or even that ordinary people have got angry about it. They are angry that ordinary people are treating Musk and Farage as the authority figures who tell them how they should feel. Because they think that's the old Establishment's job. Their job.
It's ironic that it's a Labour government, supposedly the friend of the working class, that is essentially saying to the working class people of Belfast: you're too stupid to form your own view. You're only angry because Musk and Farage told you to be.
And what they really want isn't for working class people to make up their own mind. What they really want is for working class people to think and do what the Establishment tells them to.
Shows you how elitist the Labour Party actually is.
@GeoffWrigh3712@PaulEmbery This is the same logic as โwe have loads of home grown rapistsโ when foreign grooming gangs and immigrant rapists get brought up isnโt it?
@neilchristiex@arakjafkja@tonydixonUK Youโre twisting yourself up on knots. Dodging the point by referring back to the equality acts clear justification for racism, as if that makes it ok
Youโre now clearly deliberately pretending not to understand a very simple concept.
Itโs time to tap the sign and walk away
@neilchristiex@arakjafkja@tonydixonUK simple test to tell if itโs racist. Switch it to the role is specifically or even preferably for white people. What is it then? If itโs racist in that instance, then itโs racist full stop.
Itโs an incredibly simple premise, made complicated by ideological crackpots
