I never met a kinder, more empathetic comedy genius. He was so funny. And deep. As a stand up he was really iconic in the 70s. Cool, funny, self deprecating and hip. He was a friend to my parents and the whole Stiller family. As a kid i remember seeing him at the Improv and how nice he was to me and my sister. Over the years he would always reach out with support and love or a kind word - sometimes out of the blue. It always felt special to hear from him. I feel very lucky to have known him over all these years. I’m sad I won’t see him again.
We’ll miss him very, very much. A true comedy great. Sending love to all of Richard’s family and friends.
@Sulliview@GuardianUS@paranoiacs Quoted here what I believe is Dylan’s best single lyric, from Mr Tambourine Man….. Yes to dance within the diamond skies with one hand waving fre3…
@cwodtke Spades, card game with teams and you can't explicitly communicate
Solitaire, play against the "environment"
Eve, self-organizing factions on massive scale
Worth a share...
“A day in the Life of Sue Republican
Sue gets up at 6 a.m. and fills her coffeepot with water to prepare her morning coffee. The water is clean and good because some tree-hugging liberal fought for minimum water-quality standards. (1)
@ThisisBeckyW Just heard Dabbs Avenue on Gina Bacon’s show on WFMU. Omigod maybe even more to love than Call Me Sometime. Promise you’ll never stop writing and singing!
@jboogie Many people tell me they feel like they are working harder because of all the meetings. I also think you miss the natural breaks that happen in the office
@pardonwyatt hey I spoke with you at that fabulous songwriter session at Eddie Owens Friday. I’m the songwriter who wants to get something to Becky Warren. Thanks for the show and what’s your email?
@MrAlanCooper Michael Lewis has a new podcast called 'Against The Rules' which discusses how the absence of referees in modern life is affecting finance, newspapers, obviously the Internet, and other things. I see a confluence here.

Digital Protection is something too many of us neglect. I spent two months working on a protection product last year - here's an overview showing how you can protect yourself online inexpensively.

@Atul_Gawande@NewYorker Great, urgent and informative article. I was astounded when I read you were a practitioner and not solely dedicated to writing.
