@KVanValkenburg generally unlikable golfer + wire-to-wire leader + Long Island crowd looking for some tournament juice/action = bad juju all around. It wasn't great, but i understand how it happend
@TronCarterNLU such a bummer, but weather does look decent with no more rain rest of the week. if tues/wed conditions were a 10/10, what are we thinking it'll be Sat/Sun given where we were before the rain?
@chambleebrandel Didn't politics effectively change the public golf world in Washington DC with the insane/nonsensical takeover of the National Links Trust? Politics and golf seem closer (and weirder) than ever here in our country and i'm not hearing much from those in support of this regime
@PapaBearett@JonathanCT17212@JamesSurowiecki Lol. " I don't live anywhere near open drug markets (nice neighborhood where I was my neighbors car, I dont really like him tho) but I hear about them on tv and I wish we could shoot drug ppl in the streets like they do in the Philippines
@JonathanCT17212@PapaBearett@JamesSurowiecki Ah ok cool! you totally don't care about this issue at all but also don't care that we are extrajudicially killing other humans (esp from shithole countries!) who are suspected drug trade ppl. You haven't been ambiguous about that part at all, it's crystal clear from here
@JonathanCT17212@PapaBearett@JamesSurowiecki You seem very upset about the supposed outdoor drug markets in every US city. Why are we pardoning heads of state who actually sent those drugs to those places?
@JonathanCT17212@PapaBearett@JamesSurowiecki You still haven't answered the q, why have we pardoned the president of Honduras, who was convicted of shipping 400 tons of coke to the US? Clearly you should be outraged but you are not the slightest
@JonathanCT17212@PapaBearett@JamesSurowiecki But back to the issue at hand. You're ok blowing up stranded boaters without a trial or evidence that they are running drugs. That's a world you want to live in. Not me
@JonathanCT17212@PapaBearett@JamesSurowiecki His argument is way more groinded than yours which is all over the place and seems to be "kill everyone in the drug trade", but also it's ok to pardon kingpins/narco state govt officials". Next up, execute drug users? That should solve the problem. Unreal.
@JonathanCT17212@PapaBearett@JamesSurowiecki i mean, cool. I care about the economy too - literally, who doesn't. However, I prefer a lawful US military and will not shrug this off as some shithole narcos getting killed and ignore the illegality/corruption/cruelty/coverup of this admin's handling of this all.
@JonathanCT17212@PapaBearett@JamesSurowiecki When we are acting lawlessly, without regard for life or justice, and with corrupt intentions, absolutely I give a shit. The fact that you don't seem to care about those things speaks volumes to me and I don't think you're alone, which is equally alarming to these govt actions.
@JonathanCT17212@PapaBearett@JamesSurowiecki extrajudicial killings on a level of autocratic banana republics + pardoning narco state presidents + undermining our justice system < washing your neighbors car. 2025 political discourse in a nutshell. have a good one.
@JonathanCT17212@PapaBearett@JamesSurowiecki Recent policy did do just that (see honduran prez, El Chapo etc, coast guard interdictions of drug boats). If you support what this admin is doing today, then you support undermining US Justice (pardoning honduran prez) and duterte level executions of human beings sans trials
@JonathanCT17212@PapaBearett@JamesSurowiecki "new management, new policy". the new policies are a) we blow up boats not even going to the US and kill ppl without a trial (aka Duterte), and b) we pardon presidents of narco states (Aka Honduras). How is this not completely clear to you?
@JonathanCT17212@PapaBearett@JamesSurowiecki Oh cool so you are advocating for a duterte-level street execution/no trial of low level ppl in the drug trade but pro pardoning the politicians who conspire with the cartels bringing in hundreds of tons of the same drug (not fentanyl). Got it. So brave
@JonathanCT17212@PapaBearett@JamesSurowiecki Look up what we did with El chapo and the narco state president of Honduras. They were arrested and brought to justice in the United States. Which is what should have happened with these drug boats and was how they were handled in the past with the coast guard
@Top100Rick@TronCarterNLU@PopeysNoNapkins 85K VA miles for ANA F prob the better deal if only because AA miles are so hard to acquire and VA is so easy/transfer bonuses up the wazoo. New Citi transfer to AA notwithstanding
