@sportsdatalabs was proud to support our partners at @FIFPRO and @ClevelandClinic for this year’s Player IQ Tech Experience Tour which took place in Cleveland and New York Oct 12-17. In collaboration with the @MLSPA and @MLBPA, FIFPRO’s Player IQ Tour brought together leading organizations across #sport, #healthcare and #technology including @FIFAcom, @UEFAcom, @EFC_Football, @MLS, @NWSL, @ussoccer, @NFL, @NFLPA, @NHLPA, @GEHealthCare, @IBM, @Oracle, @PGATOUR, @Sony, @Teamworks, @GeniusSports, @MIT, @OneTeamPartners, @Deloitte, @Sorare, @WestHam, @CPFC, @cavs, @CleGuardians, @JonesDay, @PSASquashTour, @ORRECO1, and others.
The week-long Tour started at Cleveland Clinic’s world-renowned #cardiology center where the conference highlighted topics focused on the use of #AI for enhancing biological performance, #quantum computing, and other specialized topics based on the global expertise of Cleveland Clinic across cardiology, #neurology, #orthopedics/sports medicine, and other disciplines. The Tour then moved to MLBPA’s offices in New York where the conversation shifted towards identifying collaboration pathways to unlock more value with personal data and leveraging models where individuals are at the epicenter how their data is collected, consented to, and monetized.
A tremendous week!

Our patent portfolio continues to grow! 🚀
We are excited to share that we have been issued #Patent No. 7618242 in #Japan for a technology-based system that uses #athlete tracking data (e.g., optical tracking, GPS tracking, RFID-based) to generate strategies, predictions, and products for the emerging #sportsbetting ecosystem in the market. This foundational patent, originally filed in early 2019 and currently pending in the US and Europe, provides SDL with the exclusive right to leverage athlete tracking data and other information (e.g., biological information, non-biological information) as part of a sports betting-based system to create #AI and statistical-based predictions that enable sportsbooks, bettors, and other organizations to create and revise betting products, strategies, and odds in the market.
This represents our fifth issued patent in Japan. Read more below!

We are proud to share the issuance of U.S. #Patent No. 12,330,047 covering our AI-based athlete data #simulation system that leverages synthetic biological data to predict future events. Our newly-issued patent utilizes trained neural networks to create dynamic, real-time simulations that leverage captured biological sensor data (e.g., physiological data, biomechanical data, tracking data), contextual data, modifiable variables, and other personal information (e.g., medical data) to simulate biological responses in athletes that predicts the behavior of future biological systems (e.g., what the human body will do during a future event). Encompassing athletes in all event scenarios (e.g., live competition, training, simulated events), our issued IP is designed to leverage both captured biological sensor data and generated synthetic biological data to create a prediction, forecast, probability, possibility or recommendation related to a future outcome (including both biological-based and event outcomes), enabling an athlete or third parties to evaluate biological data-based performance or mitigate associated risk. Today we are proud to announce our new long-term partnership with @FIFPRO, the global players union overseeing 66,000+ men’s and women’s professional football players, to provide technologies for players to collect, control, and monetize their data.
As the Official Player Data Collection, Consent Management, and Monetization Partner for FIFPRO, our platform, under the FIFPRO Technologies umbrella, will enable players globally to create and maintain a master record of all captured data throughout their career, providing them with a better understanding of their own bodies to help manage workload, optimize their on and off-field performance, and support career and life longevity. Additionally, our technologies will support players in establishing their terms, conditions, and permissions related to third-party use of their personal data while unlocking new monetary potential and opportunities on both an individual and group basis.
As part of the agreement, FIFPRO has taken an equity stake in Sports Data Labs alongside the @NFLPA, @ClevelandClinic, @BillieJeanKing, and other leading organizations. Learn more below!
FIFPRO, the global union for professional players, working with a sports data company to “change the landscape of data usage” for players. Players now able to build a personal “master record of all their captured data” to optimise their “on and off-field performance, managing workload, reducing injury risk, contract negotiations, and overall well-being”. Significantly, they will have the opportunity to “monetise” their data.
Players will have access to their “tracking data, physiological data, medical records and genetic data” and data from their output in games and training with clubs and national teams.
“We are delighted to enter this long-term partnership with @sportsdatalabs and embark on an important initiative that will change the landscape of data usage and distribution,” says @FIFPRO commercial director, Andrew Orsatti. “Our platform will allow players to regain control of their personal data, while safeguarding and managing this information throughout their careers and creating new value across the entire ecosystem around professional football.”
