Chris, while agree that deals should not only be allowed, but even facilitated by WSOP, this is not that. There is a party that’s affected. Isn’t the WPT being cheated out of a million dollars? Don’t you think fixing outcomes is different than just striking a deal between the last two players?

This is a good adjustment/modification to the new/temporary policy instituted this year due to the rollout of the new app which effectively allows new players to avoid the blinds by not “sitting in” until they see the blinds have passed. The temporary policy of not penalizing players for avoiding blinds was ill conceived bc of the lack of enforcement capabilities, but that should never be the basis for voiding good rules that go to the integrity of the game and fair play.

Serious question. What about transgender people? Specifically, females at birth, who either have transitioned or are in the process of transitioning to males, such that their drivers license or ID may still say female. I guess the question I’m asking is what constitutes a female for the purposes of this tournament?
