@Taniel Our former mayor still has real public support and respect. I am a big fan. But in this jungle primary for governor, I think Democratic voters focused almost entirely on who had a real chance to make the runoff.
@LarrySabato Trump seems so scarred by the horrific events he sparked on Jan 6 that he spends part of every day trying to erase the ugly reality from our collective memory and history.
@EducationNext As the cost of college skyrockets, more families are questioning the value of the enormous expense and debt that often follows. This means high schools must become more effective at preparing students for meaningful employment with the relevant skills and knowledge.
@mkraju “I know the Constitution says only Congress can declare war. But Trump and I should be exempt from the law. It could weaken our image as tough guys.”
@jamiedupree I’m sympathetic to anyone facing a health challenge. But an elected official has an obligation to those they serve. Voters deserved to know the situation when Kean stopped showing up, not weeks or months later.

@CBSEveningNews@CBSNews This appointment reveals Trump’s careless disregard for the details of our national security and safety. The Senate is unlikely to confirm Pulte, a man who lacks any relevant qualifications.
@RedCoreHardCore@CBSNews My main concern is giving our military the role of cop, prosecutor, judge and jury. Capturing and arresting drug traffickers is important. Killing them because we see a future threat is wrong.
@FlimflamSlim@CBSNews I think the term “narco terrorist” was simply made up by the Trump administration. Curious if you know of use of the term in the past by any military or law enforcement officials.
@TheAtlantic@JonLemire@michaelscherer Before political parties, our Founding Fathers believed Congress would be a major check against presidential abuses of power. A certain rivalry or competition for influence would inspire Congress to push against a President. They didn’t imagine Congress would simply roll over.
@ABC7 The January 6 rioters were properly charged and convicted for their crimes. Trump’s disgusting pardons for these criminals sought to cast them as “victims”. They are in no way victims and have no claim on our tax dollars.
