A key factor in the MLB cap proposal…

The league has said that all local media rights would be shared across the 30 clubs and all blackouts would end. But there’s a catch: only if the players accept the cap.

This is due to high rev clubs with big local TV deals not wishing to share now and using the cap as a way to offset sharing those lucrative media rights.
