AI should make creative work faster and sharper—not trap us in a single vendor’s software stack. I'm not judging intentions, but it's hard to ignore the hunch I feel about what is actually being communicated in the video

Stumbled on a Microsoft clip arguing that treating AI as just a "tool" is a mistake and businesses need to restructure around it.
On the surface, is sounds like high-level strategy. But looking closer? 👀 A subtle push toward vendor lock-in. 🧵
In multimedia & post-production, AI IS a tool—and a great one.
I used AI to write custom animation scripts with zero coding knowledge.
• AI as a tool: You own your pipeline. Better model comes? Swap it seamlessly.
• AI as a system: You get locked into one Big Tech ecosystem.
Stamping "AI" on a title just reduces creative direction to the software doing the processing. An NLE, a camera, and a prompt are all just inputs. Storytelling, pacing & human vision are what actually make it film. Tools will always evolve, but the title stays the same: Filmmaker
Saw someone call themselves an "AI Filmmaker" on YouTube. By that logic, chefs are "Convection Oven Specialists" and writers are "Word Processor Content Generators." In fact, I'm updating my resume to "Non-Linear Editing Suite & Light Spectrum Capture Director."
The biggest flaw in AI multimedia?
It’s far too perfect. AI doesn't know how to make ‘organic’ mistakes. But human art lives in the imperfections—the grain, the missed focus, the happy accidents. Perfection isn't realistic; it’s just boring. That side of AI is getting boring.

Everyone’s suddenly "AI-powered" now:
AI-powered chefs, AI-powered therapists, etc. I'm waiting for AI-powered barbers – one wrong prompt, and you’re leaving with a new identity.
What’s next—AI-powered in-laws? 👀 #AI#TechHumor#Innovation
This is the moment to adapt, learn, and evolve.
AI is here. The question is: Will we resist it or use it to level up?
What’s your take? Let’s discuss.

“AI-Assisted” – The Future!
I work in motion graphics and voiceovers—two fields AI is actively disrupting. And let’s be real, it’s not slowing down.
But I’ve seen this before.
#AI#Multimedia#CreativeTech
The future of multimedia isn’t human vs AI. It’s human + AI.
And I believe the next big shift will be AI-assisted work.
Fighting AI might be pointless. But positioning ourselves for this shift? That’s smart.
