Of all churches identified in the New Testament, not one of them is identified by numerical size. Health, faithfulness, unity, yes. Size? No. Not a single one. Focus on what is primary and trust God for size.
I join the chorus of pastors blessed by the life and ministry of Junior Hill. He was such a great encouragement to me and an incredible role model.
Maybe my favorite Junior Hill quote: If you’re too big to preach in a small church, you’re too small to preach in a large church!
Thankful for the love & grace of Jesus & for that reminder this morning @fbccrossett from Dr. @MarkTolbert: “We don’t clean up our life to come to God. We come to God so he can clean up our life.” Are we sharing His love & grace with others, or are we just content in celebrating what He’s done for us & not willing to lead others to Him? May we love others the way He does. Not condoning the sin, but understanding we are all sinners in need of Him.
Rick got saved a month ago, and responded to the invitation this past Sunday @QSBC.
He told me: “I went to 3 or 4 churches. You’re the first one who gave an altar call.” He’s scheduled for baptism next week!
Pastors, I encourage you: Present the gospel and give an invitation.
Thankful to host @MarkTolbert, @rstro, and Blake Newsom at @OakCreekChurch today. Thankful for their partnership as they introduced the @CaskeyCtrNOBTS and @NOBTS to @indianabaptists and talked about effective ministry in smaller membership churches.
