21 goals this season. None from set pieces.
Suddenly the media aren’t publishing league tables excluding set pieces and complaining about them ruining the game.
It’s almost as if they didn’t actually care about set pieces, and their real issue was us.
Ken Friar is Arsenal.
In 1946, a 12-year-old local boy kicked a ball under manager George Allison’s car outside Highbury. Allison was impressed by his enthusiasm and gave him a matchday messenger job. That kid started full-time in the box office in 1950 and never left.
Without Ken Friar, Arsenal would not be the same today.
He rose through the ranks to become club secretary, then managing director in 1983. For nearly two decades he ran the day-to-day club, negotiated contracts, protected Highbury’s character, and kept Arsenal’s values intact through changing times.
When the club needed a new home, he stepped away from the MD role to drive the Emirates Stadium project with Danny Fiszman — delivering one of the most complex builds in football history on time and on budget.
He described Arsene Wenger as like a younger brother and said he didn’t think they could have built the Emirates without the success and stability Wenger brought.
In 2020, after more than 70 years, he stepped down from the board and was named life president.
There’s a bridge named after him outside the Emirates and a statue of that boy chasing the ball.
Ken Friar didn’t score the goals or lift the trophies. He was the constant — the living memory, the steady hand, and the quiet guardian of everything Arsenal is supposed to stand for.
He spent 80 years of his life at Arsenal Football Club. From 1946 to today.
Ken Friar, thank you.
Ross is made of tough stuff, but Dermot voluntarily handing over real money after realising prayer alone wont win him the car
The sheer shock nearly broke Ross....

Thanks to @crossinter7s and @Armagh_GAA legend Oisin McConville for taking the time to chat with club members and listen to our future plans for developing St. Molaise Park.
Having a GAA icon like Oisin hear our vision and support the next generation means a lot to our club.
Kings of the capital 👑🏙️
Arsenal have only lost one of their last 30 London derbies, unbeaten in their last 17 👏
North, East, South or West... London is RED! 🔴
My @SluggerOToole article from one year ago seems to have been referenced in yesterday’s High Court ruling and on today’s @BBCNolan show. My view remains the same, the Orange Institution handled Drumcree badly and must navigate yesterday’s ruling with caution and leadership.
A classic example of, it's all themuns fault, it isn't usuns, it's themuns. If this is the best politics has to offer, a muppet who's never had a vote cast for him, we are well and truly f****d!
Gone but not forgotten.
The GAA is many things but it is always ultimately about people and being there for others. @CrokePark reacts to Finn Clancy representing his late dad Paul in the @Galway_GAA 2021 Jubilee team.
Ex @MayoGAA star and tv pundit David Brady took time out yesterday to support our development draw. We hope David and all Mayo fans enjoy the days ahead. 💚💛💚❤️ If you would also like to support our draw please hit link below
