That is not sustainable AI governance. It is access control without a scalable framework.

The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.

The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.

Access to all other Claude models is not affected.

We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

CMS releases #HiggsBoson discovery data to the public

The @CMSExperiment has recently released, in electronic format, the combination of the measurements that contributed to establishing the discovery of the Higgs boson in 2012.

This release coincides with the publication of the Combine software – the statistical analysis tool that CMS developed during the first run of #LHC, to search for the unique particle, which has since been adopted throughout the collaboration.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Peter Higgs.

An iconic figure in modern science, Higgs postulated the existence of the eponymous Higgs boson in 1964. Its discovery at CERN in 2012 was the crowning achievement of the Standard Model of particle physics – a remarkable theory which explains the visible universe at the most fundamental level.

Today CERN pays tribute to Peter Higgs. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
