Day 17: We spent already several days in the close vicinity of the last sighting of the Endurance. Itโs a historical surrounding. When working on the ice here, we feel even closer to Shackletons men more than 100 years ago. #endurance22@AWI_Media
#Antarctic sea ice extent is reaching its minimum and is already breaking the record from 2017 for the lowest extent. Note that there is no #sea ice in the #Ross Sea. What do you think, will it continue to decrease in the next days? Data from https://t.co/ZPwkQk6c55
That's an exciting perspective: Having an Antarctic @MOSAiC. I'm in ๐. Looking forward how this project develops in the coming years: Head of @AWI_Media suggests an international Antarctic mission https://t.co/L2BENjz6GA via @derspiegel@chs42
