I am bewildered, and not very impressed, by the visceral, naked, irrational hatred spat out by some defenders of Jason Arday. If a Cambridge professor is accused of being an unqualified charlatan, the accusation might be racially motivated. On the other hand it might not, depending on the evidence. The correct question to ask is not, ”What is the colour of his skin” but “Is it in fact true that he is an unqualified charlatan?” Please examine the evidence before leaping to the assumption of racism.
As for the idea that journalists “piled in on him” and “hounded him to his death”, most attacks were against Cambridge University. Jason himself was widely regarded as an unfortunate victim of foolish promotion way beyond his ability to cope. In appointing him to a professorship for which he was manifestly unqualified – in ludicrously describing him as “the best in the world” – certain senior members of the university showed a level of patronising condescension towards black people that could fairly be described as racism, while at the same time making him tragically vulnerable to such attacks as came his way.

Behold the human wreckage of the cult of diversity. The tragedy of Jason Arday is that he was both built up and destroyed by the ruthless machinery of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion). The academy made him into the golden boy of its philistine project of ‘decolonisation’ and gave not one thought to what the consequences might be if his thin story unravelled, as it inevitably would. No one can deny it now: wokeness makes false gods and real tragedies. . .

This is the poison chalice of the state religion of diversity. It lays traps for the very people it celebrates. It handpicks members of ‘the oppressed’ for moral anointment and institutional gushing while leaving them open to exposure as others start to query their credentials. That’s the toxic bargain of identity politics: it builds teetering pedestals for ethnic-minority thinkers, meaning their fall from grace is often twice as fatal.

And what a pedestal they made for Arday. They worshipped him as ‘the best in the world’. They beatified him as a black wunderkind whose very presence in a place like Cambridge might help to wash away its sins of whiteness. They canonised him as a living monument to ‘decolonisation’. It was precisely this, their giddy, narcissistic desire to manufacture a kind of black saviour, that made them turn a blind eye to the questionable elements of Arday’s CV and life story. They sacrificed their due diligence to the god of decolonisation.

And Arday suffered. He was both poster boy and sacrificial lamb of the diversity crusade. Even as he gained from it – reaching the dizzying heights of a Cambridge professorship – he was being damned by it. The foundation of myth and sand his starry career was built on was untenable. Its collapse was a given. It is a testament to the ideological blindness of the inhabitants of our ivory towers that none of them foresaw it. . . .

The Faustian ruthlessness of it all is mindblowing.

. . . The media is the only institution in this entire tragic scandal that did its job properly. Journalists found a story and they told it. It was the academy and Arday’s colleagues who failed to do their jobs. Who failed to prize merit over identity, and failed to foresee the public embarrassment that would befall their falsely promoted friend. They ignored the truth – the media found it.

I and others have been arguing for years that the politics of identity is a disaster for all, black and white alike. White kids are overlooked, black kids are patronised. Whites are branded ‘privileged’, blacks ‘oppressed’. Whites are seen as the beneficiaries of historic crimes who must atone for past sins, blacks as history’s perma-victims who require the gracious helping hand of the state. We are demonised or infantilised according to the accident of our race.

Enough. Let our monument to Jason Arday be the restoration of the true ideal of equality. We couldn’t save Jason but we can save merit from the monstrous jaws of identity.

Onko tässä Apotti-ratikassa nyt siis niin, että kenenkään kiistämättömien julkisten tietojen perusteella:

• Helsingin–Vantaan Ratikkavirasto eli Kaupunkiliikenne osti sveitsiläisen kalustofirman konsultilta koulutuksen itsensä viihdyttämiseksi Sveitsissä ja nimitti sen jälkeen sveitsiläisen kalustofirman koulutuskonsultin omaan hallitukseensa.

• Uppsalassa kilpailutettiin samanlaiset ratikat kuin Helsinki–Vantaalla, tarjouksia saatiin useita, Skoda voitti.

• Ratikkavirasto kilpailutti pääkaupunkiseudun ratikat ja sai yhden sveitsiläisen tarjouksen.

• Ratikkavirasto oli ottanut pari vuotta markkinavuoropuhelua Skodan kanssa, kunnes onneksi oli tajunnut, että Skodalta jos ostaa niin verkostoitumis- ja referenssimatkoille pääsee Kajaaniin ja Pirkkolaan.

• Stadlerilta ostaessa Ratikkaviraston pitää tehdä referenssikäynnit Lausanneen, Geneveen, Milanoon, Lyoniin, Aarhusiin, Alicanteen ja Sheffieldiin (lay-over Lontoossa).

• Ratikkavirasto muutti kolme sekuntia ennen määräaikaa tarjouspyyntöä niin, että koko saatanan vaunu menee uusiksi.

• Sattuman oikusta tarjouspyyntö meni samassa rytäkässä epähuomiossa sellaiseksi, että se on suoraan sveitsiläisten katalogista.

• Skoda sanoi, että hold my beer, menis viikko piirtää nää tuhat sivua uusiks.

• Ratikkavirasto tuumasi, että me on varattu vuosi tyhjäkäyntiä valitusten varalta mutta ei käy, koska ei me haluta teidän ikävään Kajaaniin vaan Alicanteen.

• Ratikkavirastolla on nyt kädessä yksi tarjous, jonka hinta on noussut 65 miljoonaa jo ennen kuin on tehty mitään.

• Hankkeen hinnannousu näyttäisi vielä pahemmalta, ellei Ratikkavirasto olisi meikannut sitä käyttämällä projektiin liittyvää parinkymmenen miljoonan varaumaa jo nyt eli syömällä hätäpäissään etukäteen rahat, joilla sitä hanketta piti vetää.

• Ratikkavirasto väittää, että yksi jatkuvasti ja hämärästi kallistuva tarjous edustaa markkinahintaa.

• Virasto meinaa käyttää hankkeeseensa kaikkiaan 1,6 miljardia.

• Virasto ei alennu kertomaan omistajilleen eli veronmaksajille, mihin tästä rahasta menee 1,3 miljardia (pois lukien referenssikäynnit Baseliin ja Alicanteen).

• 1,3 miljardia on 40 Garden Helsinkiä.

• Jos hinnannousu jatkuu samaa tahtia kuin nyt, 1,3 miljardia on kohta 2–3 miljardia.

• Ratikkavirasto väittää, että ei ne Kajaanin vaunut sovi Helsingiin.

• Virastolla itsellään on jo kymmeniä Kajaanissa tehtyjä vaunuja.

• Ratikkaviraston toimitusjohtajasta ei ole kuulunut mitään, koska hän pani itse itsensä syrjään heti alkuun koko eläinsadusta (kuten tekisi kuka tahansa itsesuojeluvaistolla varustettu toimitusjohtaja).

• Ratikkavirastoa edustavat vailla työkokemusta oleva broileripuheenjohtaja sekä virastomestari, joka vertaa Tampereen ratikkaa ja Raide-Jokerin vaunuja purkukuntoiseen kaksioon.

• Virasto koettaa kynsin hampain pitää broilerin ja virastomestarin poissa julkisuudesta, jotteivät nämä taas tee Kummelin pääministereitä. (Pena sen siinä loppumetreillä keksi että annetaan niille sveitsiläisille 30 vuoden yksinoikeus tukisopimukseen ja salataan kansalta hinta.)

• Ratikkavirasto on miljardiyhtiö, jonka hallituksen valitsevat puolueiden paikallisyhdistykset niistä kakkosketjun ehdokkaista, joille ei riitä valtuustopaikkaa.

• Kunnallisten osakeyhtiöiden ja kuntayhtymien päättäjien suosituimpia keskustelunaiheita ovat tulevien verkostoitumismatkojen kohteet.

• Tampereella nauretaan reidet kipeänä, kun Helsingissä virasto makuuttaa 5 miljoonan vaunuja varikolla (ennätys 1,5 vuotta), koska ei niitä aina kerkiä heti huoltaa.

• Ratikkavirasto harjoittaa itse tuotekehitystä kaupunkien rahoilla ja on pannut insinöörejä kehittämään omaa törmäyksenestojärjestelmää.

• Sellainen tosin on yksityisillä valmistajilla jo valmiina.

• Helsingissä on itse asiassa raitovaunuja ihan liikaa, koska niitä on syytä olla varikolla.

• Helsingissä on ehkä liian alhainen veroäyri, kun menee vaunun huoltamiseen 1,5 vuotta.

Kumma kyllä jutuista ei ilmene, kuka maksaa näiden ”riippumattomien” tutkijoiden ”riippumattomia” Jean Monnet-palkkoja? Vastaus on EU, jonka vuosikymmeniä ajama avointen rajojen projekti on nyt vakavasti uhattuna.

A lot of people wonder how the pro-Palestine/Anti-Israel protests started within hours of the Hamas terror attack and often included preprinted posters and ready made "genocide" chants. How was it so organized and "spontaneous"?

I, and other journalists, are chasing the 'follow the money' story behind the movement that appeared "out of nowhere" on October 8.

This past week, an @NGOmonitor report provided the data inside the UK experience. It maps 40 major post-October 7 protest and mobilization campaigns in the UK — and it undercuts the "spontaneous grassroots reaction" narrative that took hold right after Hamas's October 7 massacre.

The findings: At least 11 of the 40 organizations mapped have links to extremist actors — the Iranian regime and IRGC, Hamas, Hezbollah, the PFLP, or the Muslim Brotherhood — either directly or through officials who met or cooperated with them.

Leadership overlaps heavily across the six primary coordinating groups. Jeremy Corbyn—the antisemitism former Labour Party leader— alone holds posts in three of them simultaneously. The funding for Corbyn's own group, the People's Forum UK, is undisclosed.

Youth recruitment is a high priority — Amnesty International UK is cited for running an activism-training program aimed at UK youth; Friends of Al-Aqsa for youth-mobilization messaging.

—Of the 40 groups, only 10 are registered charities.
—Thirteen operate completely outside any formal UK regulatory framework — while still soliciting public donations.
—Nineteen receive UK government funding via the FCDO or Gift Aid. At least 11 draw taxpayer money from other governments too, including the US and several EU states.
—Funding also flows from major US progressive foundations — Open Society, Rockefeller Brothers Fund among them — plus, per the report, cryptocurrency channels used by CAGE and Palestine Action, the latter now a proscribed organization under UK law as of a June 2026 Court of Appeal ruling.

What the NGO Monitor report shows is a well-funded, coordinated infrastructure that existed before October 7 and moved fast because it was already built — organizationally, financially, and rhetorically — around "genocide" messaging with no space made for Israeli victims.

Petr Pavel didn't drop some bombshell intelligence in that Telegraph interview. He simply said what every serious analyst already knows: Putin will not touch mobilization before the September Duma elections because even his own circus needs a veneer of normalcy. After the votes are counted the window slams shut and another wave becomes inevitable. Not because of some mystical deadline, but because 721 thousand troops cannot finish the job in Donbas, let alone deliver the maximalist prize Putin still openly demands: the whole of Ukraine.

Strip away the polite diplomatic phrasing and the reality is brutal. Moscow is bleeding men faster than it can recruit them. Ukrainian forces are currently destroying around 35,000 invaders per month, more than the Kremlin can sustainably mobilize even with coercion. Every fresh wave of meat just accelerates the math. Z-bloggers and Kremlin mouthpieces quietly admit it: more bodies do not change the trajectory, they only increase the corpse count charged to Moscow's account.

This is not speculation. It is the observable trend on the battlefield. Ukrainian long-range strike capacity is growing month by month. By the end of 2026 those capabilities will be two to five times stronger. Operational-level logistics will burn, Crimea will be isolated, and the occupiers' rear areas will keep exploding on a daily schedule. Moscow has no path to victory left, only the ability to prolong the slaughter and terrorize civilians while it still can.

The useful idiots in the West who keep whispering about "negotiations" or "frozen conflicts" are either ignorant or actively laundering Kremlin talking points. Putin cannot stop this war even if he wanted to. Demobilizing a million traumatized conscripts and sending them home to ask what the hell they were sacrificed for is political suicide for a regime that rules by fear and imperial myth. The only off-ramp is complete military defeat on the battlefield. Everything else is theater.

Europe should stop treating Ukraine as a charity case and start seeing it for what it is: the only force currently capable of grinding down the imperial threat so the rest of the continent does not have to. Every drone, every shell, every sanctioned barrel of oil is cheaper than stationing your own troops on the eastern flank after Moscow finishes digesting its neighbor. Pavel is right that pressure must continue. The only correction is that two months was always optimistic. The real countdown is measured in Russian corpses and Ukrainian resolve, and that clock is ticking faster than the Kremlin can reload.
