@mgtmccartney That’s how it should be anyway. Like in the good old days. Instead, I suspect the reality is lots of hard paperwork, for barely anything tangible 🙃
@mgtmccartney If it’s for revalidtn, er, just write, you always did the best as continually trained, kept up to date, cut some morb and mort. That’s medicine. If it’s res, you had a good hypoth, methods, disseminated (published) and contributed to science; & so others will practise impact :)
@stevenowottny@MoneySavingExp Handy. While looking at that, I was instantly drawn to the rest of https://t.co/tPgoAdwVY7. It’s had a transformation since my last visit. It’s still jam-packed with brilliant info and help, but offers clarity and warm confidence. It feels more inviting while remaining so natty.
@macesari ‘The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’ and its follow up - both entertaining, charming, lighter takes on the questions of what we want, and what we can still achieve, in later life. Also, ‘Quartet’ directed by Dustin Hofmann. Friendship and community between people in a care home.
@JamesRavilious@beaford I can sort of see where people with coulrophobia might be coming from. Good shot - and another from the JR archive I hadn’t seen - 🙏🏻
Make sure you check out @AcanthaLang who is joining me on my UK tour! 🎹🎤
We’ll be in Nottingham on Wednesday before continuing the tour around the country.

@JohnSimpsonNews@guardian You can’t get the subs on production anymore. Mind you, speaking of language and presentation, as unparalleled as BBC broadcast news reporting and presenting are, I’m often shocked at the subbing (lack of it) when it comes to Beeb online’s output. News ‘🎵right here right now🎵’!
@LynnParsonsUK@magicfm I love snowdrops - wherever they are, but especially on a riverbank. So much so I got down on my knees for the couple of snowdrop shots on this page 😍 https://t.co/rOMpyjhFBj
@harrym_vids@HeadBoltz@tiff_tv@BBCRadio2@BBCRadio1@bbcradio6@Bannmatt Of course, in magazine land and website land, we can more easily move audiences along with changing times. No idea how you do that with radio talent without often being quite clumsy/a bit disruptive. Apparently nor have radio producers and controllers 😉📻
@harrym_vids@HeadBoltz@tiff_tv@BBCRadio2@BBCRadio1@bbcradio6 Yes, and seems obvious to me they’re doing to R2 what @Bannmatt had to do to R1 - changes needed to save a cultural institution (whereas commercial stations can, comparatively, just come and go, or change brand, owners etc). Added to R2’s shifting audience.
@DeborahMeaden You can see he’s a super horse just in that short clip. He lived long - and for sure he’ll live even longer in the memory. 💛 Sorry he’s no longer with you.
