I have been attending @vidsummit for a few years now. Each year its different people with a few of the same. The big creators stay the same with one or two new creators that rise. Vidsummit if you don't know is a YouTube centric event.
I quickly realized that for so many, being a creator, and earning a living from it is hard. Not everyone is a @MrBeast, who has been doing it for more than 10 years, I might add. The point is Youtube is hard to make money on.
Along came TikTok and changed things for so many creators, with Brands connecting to smaller creators and both earning money. The TikTok algorithm giving smaller creators a chance to be seen and heard.
For Youtube many are realizing that only a handful of the same creators earn most of the ad revenue across the board, and the rest keep coming and going from VidSummit and being a creator. If you are paying attention, you see these people over and over and it's just a handful.
Now there is TREND App the new kid on the block. Our algorithm is more in line with TikToks. We have Brand to Creator Deals. Revshare like YouTube. A chance for smaller creators to been seen, heard, and earn, with even more ways than TikTok.

Dec 6th The US Court of Appeals upheld the #tiktokban Being upheld wasn't on the grounds of keeping free speech but rather on national security. TikTok's lawyers argued free speech and lost. They seem to want to continue to argue free speech to the supreme court, that appears to be an uphill battle. From what we understand the ISPs of the US will be turning TikTok off Jan 19th.
@realDonaldTrump will be testing the executive branches power and the power of the three branches if he works to save TikTok.
Since that time our DMs have been full of what is going to happen next and asking if TREND is ready for the influx of creators and brands.

I traveled to Washington DC Dec 6th to be on the ground when the announcement came. I was on the US courthouse steps when it was announced.
From there I went to each of the Utah Congressional and Senate offices and spoke with their Communication Directors about our Platform TREND.
