It was great to join the Davis Chamber for a roundtable discussion on tax competitiveness, what Congress needs to get done before the end of the year, Utah businesses’ current challenges, and the new investment accounts for children I was able to lead in the House.

We can’t continue with a $2 trillion deficit. Our mandatory spending has increased from 25% of our budget fifty years ago to over 77% today.

[Congressman Blake Moore @RepBlakeMoore]

Americans are wagering 30 TIMES the amount of money this year than they were just eight years ago. That’s a jump from $5 billion a year to $150 billion. We cannot continue to enable platforms that breed addiction and dangerous habits.

"Gambling is morally wrong. Gambling is built on the desire to obtain something for nothing. Its structure requires that any gain comes at other's expense. It is hard to reconcile that with the commandment to love our neighbor as ourselves."

New parents could claim up to $2,000 before they even leave the hospital.

That's the idea behind the bipartisan Supporting Newborn Parents Act. @RepDebDingell (D-MI) and @RepBlakeMoore (R-UT) break it down at The Hill's Future of Supporting American Families.

.@RepBlakeMoore (R-UT) at The Hill's Future of Supporting American Families: "We are not investing enough in our next generation." He points to declining birth rates and makes the case for targeted tax relief for brand-new families.

Congress used to have budget summits. Today, we're having debt summits. Our trajectory isn’t sustainable, and this event organized by the @HouseBudgetGOP brought together a sensational bipartisan group of leaders and experts to articulate a plan.

“Social Security is fundamentally different today.”

@RepBlakeMoore says Congress needs to vote more regularly on the federal budget so it can make reforms to programs such as Social Security as demographics change and Americans live longer.

Speaking Thursday at the University of Utah’s Hinckley Institute of Politics in an event with the Sutherland Institute, Moore said Social Security is broadly supported by both parties — but lawmakers need to be able to make adjustments before the trust fund is depleted.

He says his Comprehensive Congressional Budget Act would require Congress to vote on the full federal budget each year. @SutherlandInst

Social Security insolvency now projected for 2032, putting benefits at risk of a 22% cut

I loved stopping by Brigham City Peach Days this year. Late-season frost decimated most of this year’s peach crop, but that didn’t stop the community from rallying together and moving forward. It’s one of Utah’s favorite traditions, and it was great to see so many local farmers and small businesses participating.

[Congressman Blake Moore @RepBlakeMoore]

As co-chair of the House Depot Caucus, I was thrilled to join @SenatorLankford in hosting a breakfast with several general officers from across the Air Force’s maintenance and sustainment enterprise, including current and former leadership of the @oo_alcoffical at @HillAFBUtah. Our depots are critical to military readiness, given that they enhance the lifespans of our complex array of weapons systems, and operate during times when it is not profitable for private industry to do so. They are also engines of local economic growth and serve as fantastic community partners, especially in Northern Utah.

[Problem Solvers Caucus @ProbSolveCaucus]

Today, the Problem Solvers Caucus Co-Chairs @RepBrianFitz and @RepTomSuozzi announced the formation of a new bipartisan working group focused on artificial intelligence and evolving technologies.

As artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies increasingly shape America, we are committed to advancing responsible policies that promote accuracy, transparency, and integrity in AI systems, while strengthening American competitiveness and protecting consumers, workers, and small businesses.

The working group will be led by @RepJoshG and @RepMikeLawler with @RepScholten and @RepBlakeMoore serving as vice leads.

"When Karyann let her son collect feathers, she wasn’t ignoring danger. She was ignoring cultural norms that are keeping kids indoors, and parents in fear."

My team and I are encouraged at the bipartisan attention this issue is receiving.

A Marine and WWII hero, Woody Williams was the last surviving Medal of Honor recipient from WWII. The Hershel “Woody” Williams National Medal of Honor Monument Location Act will honor his legacy and the courage and sacrifice of all who have earned our nation’s highest military honor on the National Mall.

Honored to join @JimJustice_WV, @RepBlakeMoore, and heroic Medal of Honor recipients as @POTUS signed this historic bill into law. 🇺🇸

[Congressman Blake Moore @RepBlakeMoore]

I was honored to join our military community @HAFB for their 9/11 memorial ceremony. It's hard to believe it has been 25 years. I remember exactly where I was, as I'm sure many of you do, too. Never Forget. No term is more apt for this day because it applies to those who lived through it and those who were born afterwards. I'm grateful for our first responders and service members who answered the call that day and every day since.

[Cami Mondeaux @cami_mondeaux]

The National Mall is set to get a new monument recognizing Medal of Honor recipients after a yearslong bipartisan effort headed by Blake Moore that began shortly after he was sworn into office in 2021 and spanned two administrations

“One person’s act of valor will impact many, many more service members, and I get to be a part of honoring that. I think that’s a really cool thing,” Moore told me today after the signing

[Cami Mondeaux @cami_mondeaux]

New: On the sidelines of the GOP midterm convention, Trump just signed a bill led by Utah Rep. Blake Moore that will establish a location on the National Mall for a new monument commemorating Medal of Honor recipients

Trump says the monument will be funded by private donations and will be located near the Lincoln Memorial: "We're going to get you the best site in all of Washington"

[Congressman Blake Moore @RepBlakeMoore]

It was an honor to be with 15 of our heroic Medal of Honor recipients at the @MohMuseum as @POTUS signed into law my bill to enact a Medal of Honor Monument on the National Mall. This effort was among my first when I came to Congress, and watching this legislation cross the finish line was very special. I look forward to bringing my boys to the monument one day to reflect on the sacrifices of those who valiantly fought for our freedoms. And a special thank you to the Jerry Jones family, in particular Charlotte Jones, for their leadership at the museum and dedication to serving our military community.

[House Committee on Natural Resources @NatResources]

The Medal of Honor represents the very best of America, and its memorial deserves a location to match.

Thanks to @RepBlakeMoore’s leadership, S.858 is now law, securing a place on the National Mall to honor our nation’s Medal of Honor recipients.

[Congressman Chris Deluzio @RepDeluzio]

I am a co-sponsor of @RepBlakeMoore's Promoting Childhood Independence and Resilience Act. Parents should not have to worry about the government showing up at their front door just for giving their kids some basic independence, like so many of us had as kids a generation ago.
