Earlier this week, I honored the LaGrange College Panthers on the Floor of the United States House of Representatives for their second consecutive victory in the Clash of Highway 29!
Congratulations to the Panthers, led by Coach Wes Dodson, QB Henry Brodnax, and DB Messiah Scandrett on a 31-7 win against the Point University Skyhawks, continuing their winning streak in Georgia’s newest college football rivalry.

Today, as the Senate deliberates consideration of the landmark Clarity Act, I convened a bipartisan hearing entitled ‘Main Street Meets Crypto: What Digital Assets Mean for Small Businesses.’
Our hearing examined opportunities to lower costs for small businesses, reduce payment friction for entrepreneurs, and utilize this emerging technology to benefit Main Street across America.
Thank you to our witnesses for your insightful testimony before our Subcommittee today!

Today, I commemorated the fifth annual Tunnel to Towers William “Billy” Kelly Memorial Golf Classic from the Floor of the United States House of Representatives.
Founded by Robyn Walensky, a former news reporter and survivor of September 11, and her husband, Greg, this special Peachtree City tradition honors retired NYPD Officer William “Billy” Kelly, who deployed to Ground Zero and later passed away from a September 11-related cancer.
This year’s tournament also honored the life of fallen Carrollton Police Officer Dustin Krish, whose watch ended on June 9.
May the heroism of Officer Kelly and Officer Krish continue to inspire us and generations of Americans to come.
Earlier this month, our Congressional District lost a hero when Sergeant Chris Fisher of the Warm Springs Police Department was killed in the line of duty.
Today, I honored his life and legacy from the Floor of the United States House of Representatives.
Sergeant Fisher wore many uniforms throughout his life, as a soldier in the United States Army and as a law enforcement officer across our Congressional District.
He was a loving husband to Carly, and a caring father to his two young children.
May God continue to comfort the Fisher family and all those mourning this painful loss.
On Thursday night, I was honored to address the historic Convention in Dallas.
On Friday night, I was in Carrollton, hosting a tailgate under the lights for a home game of the best football team in the state: the undefeated, nationally-ranked Carrollton High School Trojans.
Led by one of the most talented offenses in the country, the Carrollton Trojans defeated Hapeville Charter, 63-7.
Thank you to the Trojan community for welcoming us to Grisham Stadium!
Today we will lead the world in commemorating the 25th anniversary of 9/11. Twenty-five years after the day that changed our world forever, we will come together to read aloud the names of those lost. Join us live: https://t.co/klkZhMmnVY
Today, I was honored to address hundreds of sportsmen from across our Congressional District at the annual Dinner and Doves lunch in Whitesburg.
Dinner and Doves is an enduring Georgia tradition that celebrates our agricultural heritage, brings neighbors and friends together, and kicks off the start of dove season with fellowship and good Southern food.
Thank you to the entire NG Turf team for hosting another record-breaking event!
@NGTurf
Yesterday, our Congressional District lost a hero, Sergeant Chris Fisher of the Warm Springs Police Department.
Sergeant Fisher was ambushed, shot and killed while serving his community in the line of duty.
Prior to joining the Warm Springs Police Department, Sergeant Fisher proudly served our part of Georgia as a sworn law enforcement officer of the Fayette, Heard, and Meriwether County Sheriff’s Offices, and he honorably served our country in the U.S. Army.
The son of a law enforcement officer, Sergeant Fisher was a wonderful father of two young children and a loving husband to his wife, Carly.
I spoke with his family earlier, and when the United States Congress returns to session, I — and my colleagues — will honor Sergeant Fisher’s legacy of service and bravery from the Floor of the House.
May our prayers be with the Fisher family and our law enforcement community during this devastating time.
I had a wonderful time hosting a Fireside Chat for over 100,000 constituents from President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s beloved Little White House in Warm Springs this afternoon. Thank you to everyone who participated!
President Roosevelt pioneered the concept of a “Fireside Chat”, and I was honored to continue that tradition, as I deeply care about preserving the rich history, values, and culture of Georgia’s 3rd Congressional District, especially as we celebrate our Country’s 250th anniversary.
When President Roosevelt left the Yalta Conference he told his aides – who were worried about his ailing health – “If I can just make it back to Warm Springs, I’ll be OK.”
President Franklin Delano Roosevelt left an indelible mark on our Congressional District, and we are proud to have been the home away from home for a President.

Thank you to Delta Air Lines for inviting me to tour Delta TechOps’ cutting-edge facility at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport today!
I enjoyed meeting with many hardworking constituents who maintain, repair, and overhaul Delta’s fleet of more than 1,000 aircraft.
We discussed the importance of workforce development, and the impactful partnerships and programs Delta has forged with institutions like West Georgia Technical College.
Our Congressional District is home to more Delta Air Lines employees than any other district in America, and I am proud to be their voice in Congress!

Today, I visited the incredible doctors, nurses, and healthcare administrators at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton.
Founded in 1949, Tanner is a central pillar of the Carroll County community and the #1 employer in the area.
As an independent, non-profit regional healthcare system, its needs are sometimes different than other hospitals, and I am grateful for the partnership we’ve developed to deliver unique solutions and expand access to affordable healthcare for Georgians across our Congressional District.
We discussed the significant opportunities provided by the Rural Health Transformation Program, which was created through enactment of the Working Families Tax Cuts, and I look forward to working with President Trump’s Administration to deliver additional investments in rural Georgia healthcare.
Thank you to Loy Howard and the entire Tanner Health team for inviting me to visit, and thank you to the dedicated healthcare professionals who serve our community and make life better for Georgians every day!
@TannerHealth
Thank you to all who came to our tailgate at the Newnan High School vs. LaGrange High School football game last night!
First played in 1908, the Newnan-LaGrange rivalry is one of the oldest in Georgia high school football, and after last night’s result, the LaGrange Grangers now lead the series, 52-39-5.
It was amazing to hear the stories of some of the former players who played in this rivalry many years before!

I had a wonderful time touring the Biblical History Center in LaGrange this afternoon. The museum is celebrating its 20-year anniversary this year, and it features large-scale archaeological replicas of Biblical structures, interactive exhibits, and hundreds of artifacts from ancient Israel. The Biblical History Center offers guests an opportunity to journey to the past and experience what life was like during the time of Jesus and his disciples.
Thank you to the Biblical History Center team for inspiring the next generation of archaeologists and Biblical scholars!
@VisitLaGrange
Today, I was honored to visit the next generation of Georgia’s leaders at Blanchard Elementary School. As students return to school this month, we’re reminded of the incredible teachers who shape countless lives and the opportunities that a quality education provides.
Thank you to Principal Lester and Blanchard Elementary School for inviting me to visit, and thank you to the amazing educators of the Muscogee County School District for guiding the future of Georgia through your classrooms!

In @RepClayFuller and @RepBrianJack’s state, Georgia, manufacturers are building the future.
Immediate R&D expensing and full equipment expensing are driving innovation and supporting American manufacturing.
This weekend, I had a great time visiting the wonderful people of Haralson County and Columbus!
In Haralson County, I honored the leadership of the Haralson County Veterans Association and discussed our record of eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse across the federal government.
On Saturday evening, the dean of the Columbus press corps was honored at the Columbus Clingstones game — a fitting tribute for a fair and balanced reporter.

Family farms like @NGTurf represent the very best of American agriculture. What began with just 20 acres more than 40 years ago now supplies American-grown turf across the country.
Thank you @RepBrianJack and @AgCommHarperGA for joining our conversation with Georgia producers about keeping family farms strong for generations to come!
