Farage: disabled people must work.

Disabled people: can we do it from home and have flexible arrangements to ensure that employment is possible for more of us (although many of us still won't manage it)?

Farage: you must be joking! When I am in charge, working from home will be dramatically reduced and your protections under the Equality Act will be gone as well, because I'm going to scrap it. (evil laugh)

Honestly, it is possible to put together a legitimate case as to why the current government is against the interests of disabled people, but in my view, Farage and his gang would be far, far worse.

Social media has done more to show me how little forward motion there has been for disabled people globally. I keep seeing accounts explaining the lived experience of newly disabled & it's just as difficult as it was in 1981 when I became a full-time wheelchair user. Sad.

BREAKING: Trump just attacked NATO and then goes on to say that "25 years ago" he said that NATO was a "Paper tiger" and that "they would never come to our rescue".

FACT: 25 years ago was March 26, 2001. Less than 6 months after that, on September 12, 2001, NATO invoked Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty for the first and only time ever. They lost 1100 soldiers fighting for us.
