I just want to encourage you...I know many of you are going through a tough time right now. Some because of MS and some simply because of life. Know that you carry with you a little bit of hope, even on days when you feel completely hopeless...it's there. Today may feel like the worst day of your life, but hope says it won't last forever. Keep pressing through the pain because on the other side is an even more beautiful YOU.
I can't do pedicures anymore. My feet are so hypersensitive that I jump worse than someone who's ticklish. And besides, I might accidentally kick them in the process.
No matter what people may think, I don't "suffer" from Multiple Sclerosis...I'm "living" with Multiple Sclerosis. What's the difference? Suffering means my focus is on the disease and that I'm allowing the pain, struggle, disability, and distress to be bigger than life itself. Living means that I'm focused on the life before me, seeing the positive side of things, and choosing to live regardless of the struggle.
I'm never sure what to do with my eyes when I'm at the dentist. Do I close them? Do I stare at his face? Do I look at the ceiling? Do I look at the booger that's not noticed by anyone else? What's the proper etiquette here?
Sometimes my thinking gets all muddled and I end up asking someone for a glass of โclear stuffโ instead of water. I'm surprised nobody gave me vodka. haha
