Watch and listen to this podcast between @Ryan_r_Williams and @MPFerreri
Ryan Williams (Conservative MP for Bay of Quinte) just nailed the biggest problem in Parliament right now.
Question Period is supposed to be the one hour a day where the government is forced to answer for what they’re doing to Canadians.
Instead, it’s become almost useless.
The Speaker won’t make the Prime Minister or ministers actually answer the question asked. They dodge, pivot to condolences, heritage months, or whatever statement they feel like giving that day.
Williams put it perfectly: if they aren’t made to answer even for that single hour in a Parliament that sits 16+ hours a day, then Parliament itself stops being relevant to democracy.
This didn’t start with Carney — but it’s gotten worse under him. The dodge-and-weave has become the entire strategy.
We don’t need more committees or more empty words.
We need a Speaker who actually enforces the rules: **Answer the damn question.**
Until that happens, everything else is theatre.
This clip is worth your time. The frustration is real because the erosion is real.
Who else is done watching Question Period turn into a joke? 👇

🇨🇦 “I don’t want to run your life. I want to empower you to live the life you choose.”
— Pierre Poilievre
This message highlights a belief in personal freedom, individual responsibility, and limiting government overreach, while focusing on giving Canadians more control over their own lives.
💬 WHAT DO YOU THINK?
👍 AGREE — People should have more freedom and fewer restrictions.
👎 DISAGREE — Government should play a stronger role in addressing challenges.
🚨 THIS IS CANADA NOT THE MIDDLE EAST!
Islamic call to prayer just BLASTED over loudspeakers in downtown Regina from a rooftop across from City Hall. 2-3 minutes of this foreign supremacist chant, audible for a full kilometre. A “test” with police permission they want to make permanent every Friday.
We don’t need or want foreign pagan Islamic anything blasted into our Canadian cities. You don’t understand what you are inviting in and allowing to happen.
SHUT THIS DOWN IMMEDIATELY!
Canadians should NEVER have to be subjected to this or tolerate a foreign supremacist religion imposing its traditions on our country and people.

This is the quiet part said out loud.
June 18, 2026 committee hearing.
A former Liberal and Young Liberals organizer just admitted what the rest of us have been screaming for years:
Since the Liberals were elected in 2015, they had policies on the books whose *implicit purpose* — even if it wasn’t the stated purpose — was “to keep the product in the ground.”
She heard it straight from elected officials: the goal was “shutting down the dirty tar sands.”
She even called it anti-scientific… because there’s no tar in the oil sands. It’s bitumen.
Now she says with all the economic pressure, “the light has seemingly been seen” and the push is on to make Canada an energy superpower through real structural reform — not more band-aids.
Here’s the problem:
This government is in its **second year** and they’re still delaying consultations on the exact changes industry, premiers, legal experts, and the Supreme Court have been demanding.
Mark Carney is keeping the same leave-it-in-the-ground regulatory chokehold in place that Trudeau used for 11 years.
They spent over a decade trying to bury Canadian energy.
They don’t get to suddenly rebrand as the ones who will “unleash” it while the same anti-development laws stay on the books.
Canada has the resources.
The world needs the energy.
Our workers and economy need the jobs.
Only real structural reform — ripping out the deliberate sabotage — will turn us into the energy superpower we were always meant to be.

Mark Carney is destroying meritocracy in Canada.
The federal government just admitted to me, in writing, that the public service in Ottawa does not hire based on "most qualified candidate."
That's.... racist.
@JohnLeePettim13@p00rpete Well said John. My 19 yr old daughter is heading to her 3rd term of college for her apprenticeship in becoming an electrician. She works in industrial and commercial. Her boss told her that when she writes her exam in 2 years, she will start out at $155,000 a yr. Thanks to OYAP.
I’m told, the USG has made it clear that if the CDN gov reneges on the contract signed by the Trudeau gov in Jan 2023 to purchase 88 x F35A’s in 4 batches, in order to buy a number of Gripen E’s, then 3 things will happen quickly.
1. LM with the full backing of the USG will launch a lawsuit to recover lost funds. When the Chrétien gov did the same thing with EH101 purchase, the CDN gov paid AgustaWestland nearly $1 billion in compensation.
2. CDN based businesses that exist solely to provide various components for the 3 variants of the F35 will have their future parts orders cut by 50%. This will cost them roughly $1.5 billion in revenue.
3. The USG will notify Saab & the Gov of Canada, that they will veto the export permit for the GE F414 engine, making any sale of the Gripen E to Canada impossible.
The Biden admin, threatened this when the sale of the Gripen E to Columbia was announced, the Trump admin followed through with the threat & formally vetoed the use of the engine, which killed the deal.
When the Columbia challenge occurred Saab engineers looked at the cost of using a Rolls Royce engine & concluded it would add $3-5 million USD to the flyaway cost to each Gripen E & add 5-8 years to the delivery timeframe while the airframe was modified & new testing & certification was completed.
Last point, the RCAF has made clear their position, 1 fighter jet & the best option is the F35A, why exactly should short term politics play a roll in a $20 billion dollar purchase that will not be finalized until long after Trump is not just out of office but likely deceased.
Perhaps they should just honour the contract they signed just 3 years ago & as recommended by the very people who risk their lives using the aircraft, no?

Dear Canada: we aren’t being held back by America. We’re being held back by Canadians who got very comfortable telling us we’re being held back by America.
Our own Prime Minister proudly went up on stage calling us a ‘middle power.’ Canada…the second largest country on earth. Third largest oil reserves. Largest freshwater supply in the world. Arctic sovereignty over territory the entire world is about to want desperately. G7 economy. Educated. Neighbours with the largest economy on earth…
And Canadians clapped. They clapped like he’d said something inspiring.
We have every ingredient to be ungovernable in the best possible way. To be the country the world needs. To be the partner America respects, Europe envies, and China can’t afford to cross.
Instead we’re clapping for middle.
Until Canadians get half as angry about being sold small as they get about a Trump post, nothing changes.
Stop clapping for people who don’t believe in your potential. Who stifle your growth, and who don’t want you to figure out what we could be if they actually tried.
Mr. Carney... I genuinely have to ask here: do you hear these things after you say them?
You warned Albertans that "Vote for this and it's a free option" is a dangerous bluff. Curious little observation there. Because your campaign was basically a nationwide emergency broadcast system. "Vote for me because I'm the crisis fixer!" you cried. "Vote for me because Trump is coming." "Vote for me because I alone can navigate the storm."
That's all you Mark.
Canadians were told to grab the life jacket because only Mark knew where the lifeboat was.🚣♂️
Then you warned people about politicians saying, "Vote for this and we'll strengthen your hand in future negotiations."
Now hold on a second.🤔
Wasn't that your pitch too? Vote Liberal because Mark Carney would strengthen Canada's hand against Trump. Strengthen our economy. Strengthen our sovereignty. Strengthen our future.
Apparently "strengthening your hand" transforms from dangerous political salesmanship into enlightened leadership the second the brochure has YOUR face on it.🤨
Then came the Brexit warning. Politicians telling people it'll be soft. It'll be smooth. We'll work out the details later.
Funny thing about that.
Canadians heard a campaign about tariffs, Trump, and crisis management. Then after the election the menu suddenly got longer. Bigger economic restructuring ideas. Carbon market discussions. International realignment talk. Broader changes most people weren't spending their evenings debating over coffee at the kitchen table.
Then you landed on the best line of all:
People can end up with something they didn't think they were voting for.
Exactly.
Canadians didn't hand you a majority government. They didn't sign over a blank cheque with "fill in whatever amount feels right" written across the front.
You spent an entire clip warning people about politicians selling certainty, leverage and a brighter tomorrow attached to promises about the future.
Then you replayed your own campaign speech back to us and somehow missed it.
That takes a special kind of obtuse talent. So, just know this...
We are paying VERY close attention to every word you utter, every move you make, every dollar you borrow and spend.
Just a thought, a musing, if the Liberal Trudeau/Carnage gov't isn't taxing Cdns too much, why is there a huge child allowance, a dental benefit, A GST benefit, a grocery benefit, OAS, GIS, Canada's Workers Benefit? I bet I missed 1 or 2? We are so fugged.
"Did they vote for this in the last provincial election? No, they didn't."
That line from @MarkJCarney deserves to be framed and hung on a wall somewhere, preferably over the entrance to the "National Museum of Political Nerve & Hypocrisy."
Because now I have questions.
⁉️ Did Canadians vote for #Carney to pivot Canada toward a more European economic and defence model?
🙅🏼♀️ No, they did not.
⁉️ Did they vote for him to start loosening Canada from its most important trading relationship with the United States after campaigning as the only adult in the room who could handle Trump?
🙅🏼♀️ No, they did not!
⁉️ Did they vote for new strategic partnerships with China?
🙅🏼♀️ No, they did not!
⁉️ Did they vote for a revived industrial carbon pricing regime and carbon markets dressed up as competitiveness?
🙅🏼♀️ No, they did not!!
⁉️ Did they vote for "no Pathways, no pipeline" as national energy policy?
🙅🏼♀️ NO, THEY DID NOT!
Apparently #democracy only requires itemized voter consent when #Albertans want to ask an #Alberta question.
When #Ottawa changes the direction of the country after election day, they call it leadership.
When citizens want a direct say on the future of their own province, suddenly it is reckless, divisive and dangerous. Does this clown pretending to lead FOR Canadians even hear himself?
People asking people what people think.
Terrifying stuff.

Carney told us to brace for sacrifices.
His government is asking departments at home to cut.
Public service spending is being reviewed.
Programs Canadians actually use are being trimmed.
Meanwhile, Global Affairs Canada is still funding “gender-responsive and inclusive protection services” in Sudan.
$18.5 million.
The cuts are for you.
But the cheques, they’re for everyone else.
