@Friended4Ever Yeah but then it leaves you with a lingering question “if they’re watching a play based on reality, how are they alive what happened?” And then we see at the end that yeah floods happened it’s a disaster but what can we do but laugh at the tragedy that led us here and move on
@deadabovethelip@vanikehuman Good and bad can come from anywhere, it’s about perspective, at the end of the day all the good and evil people are just human. Power can come from anywhere or go to anyone. Its up to use to use our inherit power of kindness as humans and act on it for the sake of each other
@deadabovethelip@vanikehuman Exactly I think it’s more about optimism that we can learn from this to put aside all BS and just come together because we could do so much together. Cruise was perfect he makes Digger likable and that’s the point. It humanizes this evil guy, to show us we can all make mistakes
@soundsmythprod That’s just wrong it’s not about having the audience blame society, it’s about helping us realize we’re all part of the same world, and each every one of us is responsible for the bad and good, so we should choose good for the sake of each other
@Schaffrillas But Cruise is a close contender. This movie worked because of how much Cruise knows movies and his intentions with filmmaking. The director to, it’s a great spectacle of the love of directing and acting
Just got out of my showing for Digger. Dude people on here suck that movie was fire. Tom cruise knows how to act and he knows what he’s doing. I think the trailers even showed what this movie would be about and people were still confused. The “twist” didn’t wreck the plot but
@astha_asta@DrStone1992@slimgirlsupreme But ur also saying it wasn’t based “purely on his creativity.” Well everyone had access to the same history, we all know abt genocide & war but no one came up with AOT but him. He made characters and art and brought his ideas to life so it IS all about his skill and creativity
@astha_asta@DrStone1992@slimgirlsupreme I dont get the point ur trying to make, it's Isayamas story, sure he researched and drew information from irl, that's what makes it so good - how well it reflects our own histor. In the end he wrote every idea and reveal himself, while answering almost every question he set up
@Shannon_MMcD Isn't Twilight a thing because of 9/11 leading to My Chemical Romance. And I remember watching a 9/11 movie when I was younger. It's referenced pretty often and it doesnt need to be shown or visually referenced cause everyone already knows what the footage and day looked like
@Metric_Mauler@LiamJordan15@SymplyTonbra But he wasn't that BRAVE to be called a hero, bcs his character simply boils down to his love for a woman who had a family and son who just didnt feel the same way with him. But he took his obssession so far that he was willing to help his enemie's son become a wizarding legend
@Metric_Mauler@LiamJordan15@SymplyTonbra Hot take, but I think Rowling adding Harry's son being called Severous followed by "He was the bravest man I ever knew" turned him from a complex character that audiences can have their own opinions abt, to basically forcing the audience what to think of his character as a whole
@Metric_Mauler@LiamJordan15@SymplyTonbra He didnt say Snape did the same things as Bear (which he literally could have with love potions and dark magic) just that he loved her in the same way - which he did - he was weirdly obssessed with her and idolized her
