@ZaxxonGalaxian@Viggie_Smalls93 That’s called anecdotal evidence. And in my (anecdotal) experience, Jersey shore types rarely ever move to the city. It’s usually north Jersey kids who grew up half an hour away who blend in pretty seamlessly because of the cultural overlap.
@ZaxxonGalaxian@Viggie_Smalls93 That’s 100% not true lol. And the reason is pretty simple. The New York metro (North Jersey, Long Island, Southern CT) has tremendous cultural overlap. They share cultural values. Have cultural similarities. Similar accents etc.
@KVN_03 Man, it really depends on what you’re into because there’s so much to do. Could walk the High line in Chelsea into the Meatpacking. Pop off, hit the art galleries right there. Then into the Whitney Museum which is right across from the Little Island and Hudson River Greenway.
@nicksortor@jbreesenaz Richest city in the world. Historic low murder rate. Best bar and restaurant scene in the country. Everywhere is packed. Endless entertainment options. Knicks just won NBA title. Vibes are amazing. Might just be a new golden age of NYC and this bitch is complaining 😂😂
@edmundlee Little discussed piece of this Knicks run. New York and New Jersey have deep deep basketball roots. Probably two of the best basketball states in the country. It’s immeshed in the culture.
@andruyeung This is kind of bullshit. Especially in New York. If you don’t have a strategic plan to get into certain city bars you’re simply not getting in. That’s how crazy they are on weekends.
@tmavuram Yeah. This is just the truth. New York and New Jersey are liberal. But they’re *less liberal* than some other places in the country. Pretty large subset of people like Vickie. I grew up with a lot of them. Been that way forever. *
