@MarkyMarkTWayne@dahvnyc I’ve met plenty of ppl from CT at school and work. Don’t recall any Italian accent.
I have met folks IN CT who told me their (Italian) family moved north out of the Bronx.
@DivineTrading@DGartifact thats just b/c of weird FIFA politics.
You're not paying $100 to go to a random football game or concert at that stadium the rest of the year.
@DivineTrading@WChandlery@Ryan26001021470 i think a long journey in the US is different than the UK.
Also i think our highway system is better, and since Americans are wealthier on avg they can choose things like planes.
@TheCaptal@DivineTrading MetLife is roughly 3.2× the capacity, 4× the footprint, and 6× the build cost.
You're comparing a quaint stadium with the NFL monstrosities.
@DivineTrading@betangel Not sure what you’d build in a garden needs a permit in the US. But does that work up to larger construction?
In your example 3rd worldcountry do you need permits / permission to build the house or turn your house into an apartment building?
@DivineTrading@betangel could you be more specific about the freedom and compare it to some 3rd world country where its better?
IIRC the UK has much different laws about online speech than US
seems easier than just finding trending videos to look at.
@DivineTrading@LockwoodRocky if you knew more about the land you might understand why turning it into parkland for people to walk through would be a problem. Also there are plenty of huge national and state parks not that far from that location.
@DivineTrading@betangel whats a good example here? whats a 3rd world country with some freedoms most Americans dont get?
the avg American is much wealthier than the avg UK citizen so it might make it a rough comparison.
@DivineTrading@betangel anything can be compared. but if most ppl not served by public transport own one or more car and serviced by good roads thats a much different position than folks who are stranded from good jobs, good stores and good schools because they dont have trains nearby
