@BBCMOTD Goalies tipping a ball over the bar should tell ref it’s a corner not a goal kick for example. This lad should have immediately told ref it hit his hand but not deliberately. No legacy or encouragement to do so sadly.

@BBCMOTD Sadly the bleeding obvious fact here that no one ever brings up is that football has always encouraged cheating. In snooker, golf and other sports players call foul on themselves and referees allow that. In football there is no mechanism in place.

@Ryder56004614 Slow Horses is very very good tv and Gary Oldmans character becomes almost loveable later on especially in fierce and loyal defence of his slow horses. It’s definitely worth sticking with.

@plusEVbacker Valedictory never travelled a yard in that race. I backed him and knew I’d lost after a few furlongs. Buick was rowing away and nudging him after 2 furlongs. Did well to get a run out of him where he might place. Nothing left 2 out.

@VeysiCe @EricIdle The whole tournament the referees turned a blind eye to nasty vicious behaviour giving energy to Argentina to commit worse atrocities which continued to go unpunished. No idea why. Strange. Corrupt? Farcical. Certainly misjudged. FIFA has a lot to answer for
