As an illustration of just how undemocratic the Senate is, the 57 Senators voting to convict represents nearly 70% of Americans.
Yet, Senators representing just over 30% got their way. smh
The Senate failed to convict, but I want to reiterate this:
All honor to the House impeachment managers and their staff, who, under great pressure, had the coolness and capacity to create a trial record that tells the truth of January 6th to our own and future generations.
Trump is reportedly furious that A-listers like Lady Gaga and Tom Hanks are performing at Biden's inauguration https://t.co/KUy4tjUKAf
Thank you A-listers!
Trump has been consumed by the unraveling of his presidency, which included a recent, casual discussion about possible resignation. Trump shut the idea down almost immediately, & has made clear the mere mention of Nixon is banned. @Kevinliptakcnn https://t.co/Y8UO32EOaF
President Trump has been consumed by the unraveling of his presidency during his last days in office, according to people around him https://t.co/ldRni9iAoq
To be fair the comparisons aren’t quite accurate:
1) Nixon was never actually impeached; Trump was impeached twice
2) Nixon was re-elected
3) Nixon’s mood swings were at least partly because he was drinking
I’m sorry I meant to be fair to Nixon
Trump now plans to leave the WH on inauguration morning and has told people he wants a big send-off. He’s shut down discussion of resigning and told aides he never wants to hear anyone mention the name Richard Nixon to him. W @kaitlancollins https://t.co/MRdNCKaYC4
Brad Raffensperger, Georgia’s secretary of state, accused fellow Republicans of trying to undermine the legitimacy of the state’s election in an effort to swing the results to President Trump, who narrowly lost the state to President-elect Joe Biden. https://t.co/PD4MwEsp58
On Monday night, Mr. Raffensperger said that he started receiving threats and nasty emails and texts, including threatening messages sent to his wife’s cellphone, right after Sens. Perdue and Loeffler called for his resignation.

What anyone who watches all 38 minutes of Trump's unedited "60 Minutes" interview will see is that he spent the bulk of his time openly whining about how “tough” the questions were while refusing to actually answer any of them in a coherent manner
