I have driven from Texas City through the entirety of Galveston Island, down through Surfside Beach and Freeport, back up into Sugar Land, across the greater Houston area, and now out to the George Bush airport region. I kid you not I have not seen a single power truck.
I don’t know what happened, but it feels like somebody wasn’t prepared for what was forecast to be a hurricane for this region.
Tomorrow I will fly home after spending the night in a dark, hot hotel room. This doesn’t bother me at all. It comes with the job. I do worry about all the people who this does bother. How long until they get power?
I also noticed at various gas stations that people were using plastic milk jugs for gasoline. Yikes.
Something just feels different this time around for Houston. I have been here for several hurricanes during my career.
I’m not criticizing and I’m not complaining. I’m just telling you what I have seen and experienced.
How are things going for you out there?
@CenterPoint I think we are being punked. I know of no one who has seen one of these trucks. Linemen were bitching at Buccee's this morning about Centerpoint not paying them overtime. Houston is being run by fifth graders. I'm sure of it.
We are in some dark, evil days. Take care of and protect your kids like never before because these perverts are after this generation.
If you are parents who took your kids to view this degenerate shit…….SHAME ON YOU!!
@ayabennett@POTUS@usedgov I am saddened by TAMU’s response, but I am thankful your daughter is doing better. Praying for peace, strength, and justice. Get a lawyer.
Our kids are desensitized by all of the killing video games they play and movies they watch. How about we start by taking those out of their hands? Technology is freaking out our kids and causing the mental health crisis.
@GregAbbott_TX Please keep @LinaHidalgoTX from removing our choice whether to wear masks in Harris County public schools! We can’t do this again! #itsachoice
